What we learned from this episode:
1: Shawn Levy is a hell of a director
2: The Duffer's are incredible writers
3: Sadie Sink can act like you wouldn't believe
She should Win the Emmy.
@@wileyhenry3990 She certainly could
don't forget the muis vfx.
And Kate Bush rocks.... but we knew that 😁 Such an amazing episode
shawn has honestly directed all the best episodes of the show
he did the sauna test and the body (and more)
not only was max's sequence great but the whole shootout sequence in calfornia was amazing too
I love that when they cut to black on her running, everyone’s thinking, “Don’t go to credits!” And then once she’s safe with the boys, everyone’s thinking, “Okay, now PLEASE go to credits!” We know that they can absolutely still pull the rug out from under us at any moment.
The credits are our checkpoints 😂😂😂
Yeah. Like Max being comforted by the boys then they turn into Vecna and two other ugly monsters lol.
Brilliant use of editing vs expectations.
They know they’re killing is with the long blacked out pauses. Im waiting for something chaotic to happen, just to cut to a 10-second long black out, all because they can and want to mess us up. 😂
@@Ghostfailure33object27 they could even cut to the first moment of the credits
Max running from Vecna and after being trapped by him meant so much to me. That scene personifies what it feels like to escape depression/anxiety. I also like that the threat is still there after Max escapes because mental illnesses rarely go away completely and often rear their ugly heads later.
One of the best takes regarding this scene that I’ve seen, wholeheartedly agree.
I couldn't agree more. Seeing Max resigned to her fate, to then find the will to go on practically sucked the air out of my lungs. Her music opening a distant window to her salvation, and through it, her friends desperately reaching out to her was amazing. Even more so was that it was by her own strength that she was able to make it the rest of the way. It's a very relatable and inspiring concept when a character can overcome their despair in the moment and persevere like that. It was executed flawlessly in how that entire scene was put together.
Also the fact she only says “I’m still here” after escaping
I definitely immediately felt an allegory to depression/ suicidal ideation. Really powerful.
Parallels with the Babadook, horror is often most effective when it's being used as an allegory for mental health.
her arc is literally a suicide attempt arc, prove me wrong. the letters, the apologizing, the feeling sad all the time, wanting it to end, accepting your fate, etc.
It's very thinly veiled, but extremely well done.
Yes. It's a massive metaphor for depression, realizing that you were not alone in the end despite all your torment. It's always hard to remember the good things when everything hurts so much.
I like that they didn’t pull any punches… even in the end she still was trying to go it alone saying that she can handle it but she couldn’t. And she suffered for it. It is very very well done!
And now you know why Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" is climbing the music charts after 36 years. ❤❤
No 2 in the UK charts this week. Might hit No. 1 next week.
stranger things, an actual culture reset
No 1 in the UK now.
You can genuinely see in the final scene Jays soul leave his body him almost pass out while Adams almost having a seizure from suspense and happiness
The second most thrilling thing after the episode was waiting for this reaction from too lovable emotional human beings.
@@careyja1 agreed
Max's ordeal in this episode (and throughout the season so far) as a metaphor of living with, dealing with, and eventually facing crippling depression and suicidal thoughts is breathtaking. So well written, filmed and yet feeling so relatable. That's really why I think so many are emotionally affected by it (alongside of Max being so awesome). We all have had to deal or are dealing with depression and to see it so depicted but with a hopeful turn to it is incredible.
💯 Max winning her battle and the first words out of her mouth being, “I’m still here” - absolutely powerful.
@@mitchellhp Its stunning how every little bit of it is analogous to depression. That run to safety (peace) that looks absurdly long. Obstacles being thrown into her path. And like you said, 'I'm still here." That impacts so hard.
@@MrJoeboy101 Also Dustin, Steve, and Lucas providing Max a lifeline, but Max having to ultimately make the decision/having the strength and will to fight for herself. Incredible
As someone who's been on both sides of that scenario it hit doubly hard, because it's both surviving a suicidal episode and helping someone through it. Max finally surfacing hit like a truck, because it nails both the exhausted triumph of escaping that and also the sheer raw relief that you did the right thing and your friend is safe.
The max running scene is legendary, but we should also appreciate that whole moment between ultra-cop and the soldiers was all one-take (zero cuts). Which is impressive as all hell.
Hits hard on different levels, especially when u realize she's battling suicide and depression and ends the episode with her fighting to live and ends it with saying " I'm still here. " Damn.
Y’all’s reactions are seriously the best! Y’all never hold back how y’all really feel. From Grogu cuteness to Max running from Vecna😆👏🏼
They’re gay right?
My two reaction worlds crossing over!
For me, Max's encounter with Vecna is a metaphor for the every day battle for trauma survivors. In a twist of fate, Stranger Things season 4 premiered on the anniversary of the most traumatic event of my life, and this episode was difficult, but necessary to watch. When Max says, "I'm still here" at the end, that's precisely what it feels like [I like to chant this exact phrase to ground myself to reality.] to push the self out of an episode. As a result, this is my favorite episode of the entire show; it's the one that resonates with me the most.
If my support system could play any song for me, I'd have them play EXO's "Runaway," "El Dorado," or "Oasis." If it has to be an 80's song, I'd choose Huey Lewis and The News' "The Power of Love."
i reached out to some family i had been avoiding because like Max...I'm Still Here.
Great description and thanks for sharing.
Appreciate the share. I also cannot picture someone recommending Huey Lewis and the News and not picture Christian Bale in American Psycho
I see you ❤
This is honestly one of the most emotionally powerful episodes of tv I have ever seen. As someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life I knew exactly what Max was thinking and feeling. Like you’ve fallen into a frozen lake, your strength starts to leave your body and you just want to stop fighting, sink and let the darkness take you. But then like with Max hearing her song and seeing the hole that will lead her back to her loved ones you yourself have to just look for where you fell through the ice, dig deep to find a strength that you never knew was there, swim to the surface, and drag yourself out of that cold dark and lonely place.
Obviously I burst into tears of relief when the episode ended. To everyone else out there who feels like they are alone and in pain know this, you’re not broken, and you’re not alone.❤️❤️
I relate a lot to that scene with Max as someone who suffers from depression and anxiety. That feeling of feeling numb and like you have no will to live is truly horrible. The use of one of my favourite Kate Bush songs heightened the emotions of the scene for me. I cried by the time it was done.
This is definitely my favorite scene of Stranger Things so far.
The last scene was so symbolic. People who have went through depression and their fight to get back up is shown symbolically and how people around and the one’s you love will help your spirit in times of sadness and will be the reason for living, being resilient and never giving up, fighting every time you get down.
The brilliance of that final scene with Max makes you forget how epic the rest of this episode was. The Russian prison escape, the gunfight in California, Victor Creel... the rest of the episode was amazing, but that final part of the episode just blew it all away. Sadie Sink was unbelievable here and the writing is top notch.
Although Max’s scene is amazing, we can’t ignore the scene in the house with the random agent man saving the guys. The direction and production are perfect.
Gotta love a "runner scene"!
Max overcoming Venca and running towards the light was breathtaking . This might be my favorite scene in the entire series . Sadie’s acting is phenomenal and this scene is so DEEP. Emotionally deep. The metaphor behind it. Isolating yourself from your friends and loved ones, further retreating into the darkness & becoming vulnerable to evil , And Max is literally RUNNING to the light at the end of the tunnel. A light that’s being shown to her through the music in her heart. It’s beautiful and scary all at once . Seriously the Duffer brothers excelled this season 💯
I love how after you realized she is okay they immediately burst into tears to release all the stress and emotions this scene brings! This is top 3 episodes of the whole show for me and Max is oficially my favorite character
This is consistently the best reaction channel there is. You guys legitimately _react._ There's no "lol that was cool" y'all are straight ugly crying over stuff, just like the rest of us
These guys are great!
They’re the best
what's the proble with crying?
100% this
@@artist0154 nothing. I think that's op's point.
As soon as I watched this episode, I turned to my husband and said “I cannot wait to see reactions to this.” I’ve been watching every single one I could find. “Patiently” waiting for the reactors I follow to upload it.
Yours is, by far, the best reaction I’ve seen. I expected Jay to cry. I didn’t expect Adam to be that emotional.
I cried when it aired. I cried again along with you.
People were right. Nobody was prepared for this episode.
Same.
Also me every time i see the max scene (this is like the 20th time fr) : GO MAX CMON NOOO MAX OHNOOO YOU STUPID BICH VECNA GOOO AWAY MAX GOO YOUR FRIENDS DONT WANT YOU TO DIE GOOOO
Yes, Victor Creel was indeed played by Robert Englund, the horror legend himself. His voice and narration are REALLY carrying those scenes.
Hell yeah, his entire introduction and scenes were straight outta silence of the lambs and it worked
And this is why I watch you guys, love it.
“I’m so happy!” Classic
I can't watch this until later today, but I'm assuming Jay cried, just like I did. Did Adam react with hu-mon emotions as well?
It was surprisingly the other way around.
Oh boy did he
It was a happy cry. Hahahahaha! 😂😂😂😂
@Zaid Alrasheed relef and releas of tension
I know we're zeroed in on the amazing ending to this episode, but can we give an honorable mention to that out of nowhere, one shot shoot out with the absolute G weilding a mere pistol? Not to mention that supremely frustrating double cross. This episode was incredible.
i gotta throw Kudos to Englund as well. ♡
This episode was packed with so many incredible moments. An exhausting thrill ride beginning to end!
I would also like to shout out MVP Harmon for being totally badass with that pistol. What an absolute hero!
the mvp "unkown hero agent man"
No doubt, freaking Agent Wick over here with the high body count.
21:33 breathe!😰 For real, I still get emotional watching the last scene. I hope Sadie Sink wins some awards.
Vecna pretending to be the mom during the heart to heart is just a dick move.
The one shot of the attack of the house was awesome.
And of course the running up that hill sequence *chef's kiss*
I was almost ugly crying at the Max and mom talk/embrace and then the Vecna reveal zapped it all away like a magic vacuum
This episode tugged so hard on my heartstrings the end was such a ride I was basically holding my breath until the end!!
Literally me and my wife were weeping at the end while credits rolled... This is one of the most well-crafted and emotional moments of TV I have seen in a long time
I am obsessed with watching reactions to the ending of this episode because that sequence is just so masterful and epic. But I gotta say you guys are really fun to watch. I like that you’re not afraid to show your emotions with how the show is making you feel.
Also, I think dude on the left (Jay?) is a total stud. Hopefully that’s not too awkward lol. 🤷🏽
wow i'm glad i wasn't the only one who started absolutely sobbing right after the episode ended because of all the relief and everything too ahaha!! great reaction as always! :)
@Lottie Brooks same!!
its the music that did me in and the whole trope of "i need to go at this alone, i don't need my friend's lifeline help" to "Please god i don't want to die, i want to be with my friends" hits me like a mack truck every single time
@@gamershadow8 oh god this just made me tear up a bit again😅 it’s honestly such a brilliantly done scene!
Started crying when she lifted up and even more with the flashbacks. Then was holding my breath when the screen went to black and just gasped when the scene came back in. Heart racing and tears flowing: such a great episode.
Last scene can not be more goosebump creator: A little girl is running away from an evil wizard to her friends in hell while haunted house parts are falling from the sky all the while a beautiful 80s pop song echoing ethereally. She wants to live, she is more aware of it now. This is not the end, this can't be, she is sprinting with all adrenaline, in the crimson sky the song echoes:
And if I only could,
I'd make a deal with God,
And I'd get him to swap our places,
Be running up that road,
Be running up that hill,
Be running up that building.
Worth. Every. Minute. Of. The. Wait. Give all the awards to this show and cast. Perfectly written, perfectly paced master storytelling.
Glad to know I wasn't the only one screaming at the screen during that ending. I feel ya Adam. That was a gut punch I felt in my soul. I was still on the edge of my seat and crying at the end of this review, even though I've already seen the episode. The show is THAT frakkin' good. They REALLY ramped up the stakes in this show.
“It's like the great stories, Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad has happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing this shadow, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it'll shine out the clearer. I know now folks in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something. That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.”--Sam Gamgee
Max was listening to "Running up that hill" to deal with her trauma from Billy.
We saw it in the lyrics and her actions - If I only could make a deal with god, I would get him to swap our places.
She would trade places with Billy in a moment. Poor kid.
You can see the exact moment she chose life, she didn't want to follow Billy anymore. She didn't feel guilty anymore. That's when Vecna lost his grip on her and she was able to get away. And then the scenes of Vecna looking at her while running up close, showing her getting away and he can't stop her. That's why the rubble couldn't get her, he lost that power over her. Amazing scene and representation!
The fact that she fought it, and he lost that power over her. So powerful! Even just the talk around the letters. Many suicidal people write letters. "I don't want a letter, I'm right here". Then even the song choice "if I only could I'd make a deal with god I'd get him to swap our places", all relates to wanting to follow Billy. I know that feeling oh so well after losing my own brother to suicide, her letter to Billy resonated with me so much. My brother and I had our issues growing up and we were rebuilding that relationship. "We could have been friends". The trauma and what ifs around that are horrible. It's the loss of what could have been.
Oh and not to mention the fact that Steve checked on her! Many people don't check on their friends and they end up dying to suicide. It shows the difference someone can make.
I also struggled with mental health and still do even before and after I lost my brother. I've attempted before a couple times, I've self harmed. That scene was literally a visual representation of fighting depression and getting out of it. While I'm almost out of it, I am still running.
Also when Vecna basically says she runs from her friends. Then when she chooses life and to fight, she runs towards them. Especially with that song 😭😭
I can't stop rewatching that scene and listening to that song!
I think I cried harder at your reaction to this episode than I did when I first watched it! #teamuglycry
For sure. I was nervous and tense, but didn’t cry at all while watching it. Then I watch with these two, and cry at them crying! LOL
It's the afterwash of this last scene that's the killer ~ it took me a full hour of relief crying to get over it, and still watching it, I get choked up. That scene meant a whole lot more to people than just a good twist. If you've ever lost someone or nearly lost someone to depression or any struggle really, it's hard not to wish you might have swapped places, wish that someone you loved had managed to escape and come back to those who loved them.
never thought i could love 2 white strangers more then my real life friends but here we are .
I'm in the same boat with you on this one.
why the need to specify the color?
@@artist0154 right, so fcing weird
@@artist0154 "why the need to specify the color" 🤓
Racism much?
That sequence at the end there was one of the best sequences I've ever seen.
For what the compliment is worth fellas, you two are among the few reactors where I'll watch the whole video without skipping to the big scenes. That's a testament to y'all's own charisma. Side note. Yeah, they did sell discounted Nintendos with one controller and without Duck Hunt or the gun way back when. My mom bought me one that didn't even have Mario, it had some soccer game, FOUR ports and four controllers instead. (Decent soccer game, but I was still like WTF!?! I didn't have four friends.) Maybe she got it bootleg. I didn't pry.
just subscribed to your channel because i love people who can be vulnerable and cry like me when i watch a tv show 😭 i had the same exact reaction and my heart was racing
If Sadie doesn't receive an award for this season, I'm rioting... She's one of THE best younger actors I've ever seen and this episode solidified that for me... Her acting this whole season has been insane... The Duffer Brother's metaphor for grief and depression that Max deals with in this season strikes home for me, having lost a couple of my own family members... That feeling of "maybe I could have done something" and unnecessary feeling of guilt over something you can't control is something I myself have dealt with... I bawled at the end of this episode... It hit like a ton of bricks and I had so many emotions flying high...
This episode was already decent with Englund’s cameo. But that ending sequence put it up there as the best Stranger Things episode. I loved that thinking of her friends didn’t save Max. But it gave her a *chance* to make the long, dangerous run to save herself.
Also my Vecna song is Karma by AJR
"C'mon man. Know stuff!" How I feel talking to people younger than me. Lolz
Haven't watched the reaction yet though I already thumbs up. Just love that you did use Dustin and Steve in the beginning. 😘
WITH the Stranger Things font! Nice job, editor :)
I was nearly in tears due to the genuine stress and fear I had during that scene. Even more so now that I understand the metaphor for depression.
I had the EXACT same reaction as Adam. Stunned, non-breathing silence, then exploding out of my seat. Then the tears came. This was unbelievable television. What a scene. What an episode. What a show.
Hands-down my favorite reaction to episode four on RUclips! Possibly my favorite reaction episode on your channel. You manage to dramatize how I felt as Max ran. And she isn’t even on my top five. Bravo gentlemen.
I've literally been waiting for y'all's reaction to this episode! Saw the notification and I'm so happy rn! 😂
I was waiting for this reaction so bad!!! You never disappoint.
Me too..
That Kate Bush song was PERFECT. I was practically hyperventilating.
Thanks for having amazing and emotional reactions ♥️ this episode really earned it
I cried like a baby at this episode's ending
Because Max was basically letting go throughout the entire episode, they got us good. There was a slow build all the way, and then when the song plays and she's thinking about all of her friends, you still think she's letting go, then bam, she attacks Vecna and runs like hell. It's not until she's running where you feel some relief, but she could still die, because Vecna is so damn powerful. Expertly done and Sadie Sink acted her ass off in this whole episode, just fantastic.
The set up for this episode was so good. So many failures happening to characters in their areas of the story, leaving us begging for one thing to go right, for Max to survive. And she does. It doesn’t feel cheap. It was earned by Max herself.
I have been waiting patiently for y'alls reaction to this episode. Max's scene had me sweating from anxiety, watching her literally run for her life. Adam, I ugly cried just like you did. Jay, I held my breath when the screen went black the way it did. One of my top favorite reactions from you guys. So genuine and never afraid to shed some tears. Out of either sadness or joy. Mucho, mucho amor!
I feel like her running scene was a subtle nod to her wanting to be the party Zoomer from back when she was joining the group, which kinda helped her run back to safety thanks to her memories with those group of friends. Great reaction as always guys!
Absolutely. And I adore that clip in the flashbacks where she's skateboarding around Mike, talking about being a zoomer. The look on her face is so sweet. I hope we see her zoom more.
Oh, Adam I just wanted to give you a hug when the happy tears flowed. Those final scenes were so intense. 🥺 Another great reaction from both of you.
Finally 😍 Thank you that I was able to relive the moments of episode 4 through you. Man I was crying watching it the first time (and all the reaction videos thereafter). I was on the edge of my seat worrying they going to kill Max. Her arc in this season is also the perfect metaphor for depression, which I guess is why so many people could connect to her.
What an incredible episode. They did it to perfection and as I was literally sitting in the edge of my seat, yelling at Max to run faster,(my family looking at me as if I had lost my mind) that moment of black screen scared me and I was hoping the episode wouldn't end on a cliffhanger. Furthermore we all thought for that brief moment " holy shit, she didn't make it!". I love rewatching the episodes with your colorful commentary and your raw emotions. Thank you!
This is probably the best episode of the entire series so far. Great stuff. They built up the stakes until you really weren't sure if Max was going to survive. Brilliant and truly frightening horror.
After watching your reaction to this episode, I just want to give both of you a hug. Especially after Adam's "I'm so happy!" moment.
The editing of that final sequence along with the music is just so good. I've always loved that song, and it was just used to perfection here. I am so grateful Kate Bush was willing to license it.
“😭😭I’m so happy😭😭”…same here friend, same here!😭😭
“Just put on Pure Moods.”
It still amazes me how those commercials apparently because a major part of a certain generation’s childhood and young adulthood.
After watching this and thinking further......I LOVE what the writers are doing...if you think back through Stranger Things as a whole, they have done an amazing job of bringing even the supporting characters to the forefront and giving them their moments to shine. Also, I hope these kids have more projects in place because man they can act!! Sadie Sink knocked it out of the freaking park this episode. And finally.......the director and whoever decided the song and build of that scene deserve a raise because that was magic! Easily goes down as one of the best scenes I've seen in a movie...it reaches out and grabs you and you're left on the edge all the way up to the end...even the little blackout that left you wondering was perfectly timed.
Not only one of the best eps for any show I have ever seen but the themes and allegory of this is so powerful and universal and it’s the best rated ep of the entire series for a reason
Last time Robert Englund played someone in the 80s opposite a Nancy it didn't end so well for Nancy's friends. One of theme even had a messy divorce recently
One does not just simply reference the sound of music every time one watches Stranger Things even though it has nothing to do with stranger Things 🤣🤣🤣 I god damn Love this channel
This is a season where I'm emotionally invested along the whole ride. It pulls you in so well. The acting and the writing. This was so worth the wait. This is what we needed.
I know I’m showing my age here but I used to have Kate Bush on cassette tape and I’d play Running Up That Hill nonstop. I’m so happy newer generations are discovering it. Sadie Sink was incredible in this episode and that final scene had me gutted!
7:57 I don’t know how to not laugh at Jay missing his mouth and whacking his cheek with the straw
oh guys thats why i sooo love you both... youre such good sources of nerdy info and also your reactions are sooooo genuine. pls dont stop what youre doing.
I don't know if I've ever seen Adam more emotional than Jay, but here we are! Every time I watch this sequence, whether the whole scene or on a reaction channel, I end up in tears.
Yep, this was the one I was waiting for. The embodying of clinical depression in this scene was just masterful. I wasn't sure it they would kill Max either and was yelling at my screen and crying at the end. Thanks for the vicarious emotional rewatch guys.
Ok, after a long wait, this reaction didn't disappoint!
Throughout the entire episode, I was on the fence as to whether or not they would kill her off. As tragic as that would have been (because she's been my favourite character for so long), Max's ability to deal with this though situation with so much grace was really powerful to me. By the time Robin figured out the music thing, I knew she would live. And I just enjoyed the craftsmanship of the sequence. But I was certainly on the edge of my seat due to the way the action unfolded. I knew, in the moment, I was watching a sequence we would never forget.
This is the BEST reaction of anything you guys reacted to!!! Loved it!!! 🥰❤️
That sequence with Max and the orchestral Running Up That Hill version was one of the best moments in TV history. I literally cheered and cried when that scene was over. A masterpiece of editing, timing, music choice and of course acting.
P.S.: songs that would work for me are Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas or Gimme some lovin' by The Spencer Davis Group. They always lift my spirits, no matter what!
I've watched this episode a number of times, and was teary when I was watching it.. but seeing your reaction made me cry. I love watching your reactions.
POWERFUL 😭😭😭 Best episode of the entire season. You guy's are great as usual, true emotion and reaction
OMG the suspense on this episode was intense. I love the Walk like and Egyptian out of here. Definite hand claps.
I have been waiting for you guys to react to this episode and you didn’t disappoint 😂 it was such an anxiety and stress ridden episode lol.
Haven’t watched a single episode of stranger things, but I did watch this reaction because of the faces you guys made in the thumbnail 😂.
What are you possible doing in your life that’s more important than watching stranger things?
GO ON AND START WATCHING
There was a literal part of my psyche that wanted to reach out through the screen and hug you both! This episode was hard to watch. I hope both of you are okay!
I've been waiting for your reaction to this episode FOR TOO LONG! 🤣🤣HAHA! love it! ❤️
First of all... BEEN WAITING FOR YALL TO DROP THIS EPISODE... because I KNEW FOR A FACT that there would be no tears spared!!!! Love you guys so much! Hope you enjoyed it. It was my favorite episode of the ENTIRE season!
your reaction is exactly me the entire episode...the "i'm so happy" moment is so relatable
this is my favorite episode of Season 4, volume 1. hands down. I'm right there with you: I fully had expectations that we could have lost Max in this episode and I wasn't ready. I was screaming at my computer screen for Max to "run up that hill" like my life also depended on it. after that fade to black when she opened her eyes, I was close to full on sobbing when I realized she was ok. that's good television right there. also, please give Sadie Sink all the Emmys! ❤️
When your life gets turned upside down to the Max
I’ve never seen Adam so emotional about a show.
That episode shmacked.
That poor guard’s face right before Hopper whacks him is the best portrayal of “oh shit!” I have seen so far. Hilarious😂
For me, you guys won best reaction to this episode. I could literally see you guys holding your breath until Max dropped to the floor! 😆 almost everyone I knew who watched this cried and was super stressed!! Love you guys as always! ❤️
Best complete episode ever! From the guys trying to escape a war before jumping in the pizza van.... to Hoppers escape... then Yuri turning the tables.... the girls getting the original story from (Freddie) and then Max's ridiculously sad/emotional/kickass ride...to the perfect fade to black ending! SO GOOD!!! Its so freaking packed with almost too much stuff. Haha. It/they need all the awards!!! Wow wow wow😬😬😬
Jay’s ever growing dad energy is awesome to behold
i want to hug you both.
i did that crying when El returns in season two? I thought she was here to die for the gate and i sobbed for 20 mins until the next episode where she goes to a dance lol
I felt those burst of relief (when Max escaped Vecna). This is my favorite scene as someone who deals with anxiety and depression.
It’s interesting that “dream a little dream of me” was used in both The Boys, and this show lol, before this month I had only heard the song once or twice as a kid
*sobbing* “I’m so happy”
All of us at the end of this episode
This is by far the absolute best reaction (I watched full Patreon version). I cried right along with you guys. I understand all of the feelings.
It is such a perfect scene.. everyone Ive watched has been on the edge of their seat. I don't do reactions, but I too was at the edge of my computer chair, clenching the arms in anticipation. episode 4 and 7 are by far my favorites of the season and maybe even the series thus far.
