    Why not wind it on to another empty spool because the line inside closest to the spool is probably still in good condition. Most casts are only 40 metres. So the rest 110 metres is virtually unused.That's what I do anyway.

      I understand what you're saying. I don't have any 15lb setups with smaller spools that would be filled by 110m. My purpose in respooling was to make the spool completely topped off to restore maximum casting distance. If you're okay with tying a line to line and adding additional, you could go that route. I mentioned later in the video I don't want to tie any segments together mid-spool and have a weak point. Good , cost effective suggestion you have, just not optimum. Thanks for your input and sharing. Good luck out there. I may try running 15lb on one of my 1000 reels at some point then I could do that.
