    Yo, your work is incredible! Is it possible for you to list all the material and tools you used during your restoration? I’m begin to restore at 510.

    It is nice you did a "cosmetic" restoration of the leaf springs. Now please allow some thoghts from a "retired" spring tech. Coil spring,leaf spring,any spring wears out. It's not something you can repaint & re-use after 10,20 or more years in service. Metallurgy demands that any spring steel "fatigues" after so many reps. In racing they say the spring dies. All that to say...good work. Buy you some new performance springs. Believe me,you'll agree it's money well spent.

    Awesome build man, what's that grease/liquid you squirted in between leafs?

    • @32Builds
      @32Builds  3 года назад +2

      Hi! Its graphite powder :) Wasn't sure if it needed lubrication, and something wet would just collect dirt!

    Hey mate, great work, what leaf did you flip and how much drop did it give you?

    • @32Builds
      @32Builds  4 года назад +1

      Thanks mate! I flipped the 2nd longest leaf, still haven't fitted them on so not sure how much drop I'm gonna get. After I fix up the rear axle and brakes it'll be going on! :D

      @@32Builds where did you see that method? Do you know if they are still legal for a RWC after the modification?

    • @32Builds
      @32Builds  4 года назад +1

      I've seen people do them around the place, there's also a write up on the Datsun 1200 forums. Not sure about the RWC - I chose this method as it would stiffen the spring preventing it from bottoming out if I were to lower it with blocks

    Los muelles no quedarán muy duros?

    • @32Builds
      @32Builds  3 года назад

      They might be too hard, but I'd rather that, then bottoming out on the bump stops or chassis :)

    Hello, I would like to know why I change the position of one of the spring leaves and if it was the third leaf spring because of the speed of the video I cannot see which position change leaf spring you change, and I would also like to know how it helped the Datsun if I lower the height , or if it helps to soften the suspension this modification was waiting for your answer and help thanks.
    Best regards

      Hi Ernesto, sorry for the delayed response, I got the second -shortest leaf, flipped it and put it on the top of the stack. Its lowered the rear nicely so far but I could still use some lowering blocks for a really nice planted look. Next video I'll be installing them :)

      They are all Nolathane polyeurethane bushings. I bought them as a kit off ebay :)
