@@QuadroKiller no. Again, those droplets don't appear on someone if they're sad. In almost all forms of popular and fringe media, those show concern or worry. Also, it's a game. They probably didn't code it in to do that if you miss. They had similar issues/things with the Gameboy version.
At the same time, it does everything it can to throw you off, from switching up the drum beats between pitching and batting, to zooming all the way out so you can't see the action, to having no music at all between pitch and bat. The important part that makes it easy is being able to count the beats in your head. :D

If you may notice, when the pitcher goes to pitch, ( after she throws down her hat ) her foot irregularly steps on her hat as a animation glitch ( though this may be determinable depending on your point of view ). this was fixed in Megamix, where the pitcher's foot goes behind the hat.

I have to say, it's refreshing to the the girl loosing to the guy and is frustrated enough to start cheating. Usually the gender is swapped in this scenario.

Like, did Rhythm Heaven Fever take place pre-9/11? Did the terrorist attacks never take place in the RH universe? Maybe Megamix takes place after the attacks because the background is different? Maybe they’re playing in a different city? Maybe the towers are still standing in Megamix but the editing makes it unrecognizable? I don’t know. I’m probably overthinking it, but the lore is just too much.
