This is my favorite minigame in all Rhythm Heaven games. I played it during a really hard time, and the cuteness of the birds, and all the encouragement words in the level, made me cry a bit. I was lonely, my world was collapsing, but some colorful birds encouraged me to "keep Marching". How funny, isn't it?
Reasons why this one of the best minigames: It has flamingos. How can you not like them? The flamingos are canonically called The Huebirds Of Happiness. The music is nice. Has good distractions. and the minigame gives you encouraging words as you progress.
This one is amazing ^^ The beat is awesome and gets really hyped around the end like most of the good minigames, and that bit where it shows the zoom out that comes back around to your Huebirds eye is pretty funny in a kinda trippy way, plus the Huebirds themselves are adorable.

This is an epic follow-up to Lock Step from the DS predecessor! If only Satoru Iwata hadn't of past away, we could of gotten a new installment on the Switch. He was truly a man of genuine art and he and his games will be missed.
Tsunku...is still alive though, and he's been interested in a Rhythm Heaven on the Switch And even after Iwata's passing, we still got Megamix on the 3DS so...

The main similarity between Flock Step and Lockstep, other than their names and genres, is that there is only one thing attempting to throw you off beat. The games share no other similarities, and I will never understand why people equate them. If you want something more like Lockstep, try Monkey Watch, another keep the beat game with offbeats. Granted, Monkey Watch only has you pressing on beats 2 and 4, but I’d still argue that keep the beat with offbeats is more similar to Lockstep that keep the beat with ”twee-twe-twe-tweet-SQUAWK!”
