AutoCAD is a commercial computer-aided design and drafting software application. Developed and marketed by Autodesk, AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers.

I see your frustrations and the problems you had doing this drawing. Since this is an older video I am hoping that you have moved onto a more robust 3D software package like AutoCAD Inventor of SolidWorks which are both fully parametric programs and would have allowed you to do much finer work. You have a lot of talent and should go far if you stay with drafting. Your creation of the cockpit by using revolve caused you a lot of headaches trying to match the edges to the fuselage. Full parametric software will help you address these issues by using surfaces and splines to define those surfaces. Good luck in life.

Blender is a free alternative program for 3D design like this😅 and it actually have a lot more functionality
You are right. But they can't replace (fully) because Autocad is relatively simple and is the digital replacement of a drawing board, it's always there :D And preparing sheets is more simple on it. But new softwares are getting more and more specific, even Autocad variations. Autodesk in fact discontinued some of the old Autocads, like Land and Mechanical, so I see the value of your point. I work in Autocad Civil processing topography and such things, also architecture, in this fields is still valid. I'm thinking in recycle my speciallity, I'll take a look to Blender for sure!
@@cesarvidelac yes.. this specialized non-free software are very easy to use and are very productive too.. for beginners i would not recommend blender either because its comparatively hard to learn.. but for professional possiblities are endless
@@devsutong True. Maybe that's why many companies are requiring at least basic knowledge of Autocad, they make sure they have a base level.
Blender is what I mainly use but I also have 3ds max since I'm a college student I get it free.
I am not students but want to know if we make any design of plane is this technicily correct as aerodynamically machinacily and other scientificly principles from this auto cad programme
my bro autocad is computer aided design software if u are master in autocad applications you can make any 3d assembly but as far as this jet is concerned this is not correct design. its a simple 3d solid....
You can use loft command to draw complete 3d desig if you have all cross section details. Try

I want to design a F-104 Starfighter, just for practice, but I can't find aircraft schematics anywhere that tells me the exact lengths/angles/locations of most parts of the aircraft. Anyone know of where I can get detailed aircraft blueprints?
