Have things held up ok from underneath without any kind of vapor barrier?

So far so good. The insulation underneath kind of acts like that. I tried to seal the gaps too but it isn’t perfect.

obiviously the cost is based on location but can you give a general cost to building this?

I spent around 10k. Paying for the running the electric was around 2k, yikes.
