Build a No Sag Gate - Budget Friendly Gate DIY
Просмотров 53414 дней назад
Gate kit: amzn.to/40e0k3H I build a no sag gate from an old section of fence so that I can get into my backyard from the other side of my house. This is very budget friendly - reusing old fence posts and the gate kit from amazon that is less than $30. The gate took me a couple hours but half of the time is just waiting for concrete to dry. It involves minimal cutting and drilling. Great project...
How to Assemble a Trampoline (CalmMax)
Просмотров 11421 день назад
Buy trampoline: amzn.to/3DvIzUl This CalmMax trampoline took about 2 hours to put together by myself (wife helped 5%). The directions are pretty good but sometimes a little confusing and there are some tricks to doing it that make it easier than the directions say. We also surprise the kids with the trampoline for Christmas which we show at the end! Fun times.

Your son is adorable!!!!
Looks great!!!!
He was fung foo fightin''!! He was fast as lightin'!!
I need a full video with instructions please!!
So happy I just found your channel lol. I love it already
haha glad you did!
@ 2:08 -- DON'T DO THIS!!!! Getting shocked is VERY likely. Never grab the LEFT and RIGHT side of an outlet or switch (as intuitive as it might be). I would edit-in a warning there and re-upload...
Not trying to be discouraging, by the way. Just don't want to have someone get shocked by repeating that. Love the little helper! 🙂👍
@@ItchyKneeSon as long as electricity is off and it's been tested you should be good.
Sorry. This gate will sag in about 4-5 years. It looks nice, but that type of support is better for a gait that is around a 3 foot wide gait. Lucky for you a no sag gait is like god, it just doesn't exist. If you want a no sage gait build it from metal, or perhap try not building it outside.
Gates and God, new podcast coming soon 😂
i actually like its just a rugged gate anyone can chuck together using mostly reused materials , sometimes it can be intimidating seeing something more flashy especially since it usually requires more money and effort to make it that way.
Haha thanks! Tried to be as reusable as possible.
Thank youuuuuu🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊
Simple deck all you need first is a forklift load of wood 🤣
I mean you could make it small and use a few pieces of wood? lol
@ I know man I was just giving you a hard time . Looks great good job
Is Burrow is truly eco friendly ? No bad chemical smell when you bought it?
Dude the little "feet" idea is genious. Not uber-professional but who gives a F. Works for me. Thanks for the tip.
hahaha so true. No problem!
@@humediyhow well is this holding?
I really loves how nice but easy this is
Glad I could help!
my landlord gave me permission to create a temporary patio/deck. Would you consider this temporary? How difficult would it be to break it down if I needed to? What if the end of where the deck the ground slightly goes downward and how do you keep animals from going underneath it?
ya, it's temporary. It wouldn't be hard to take apart. You could put up a metal mesh underneath the sides to keep animals from going under.
All complete with trip hazard........ This is a perfect example of how NOT to build a deck. Failed at every level starting with 2x6's, Using 2x4's driven into ground as a base??? Not cutting joists to save time???, WOW, Spacing deck boards??? (Huge No-No) You must butt boards due to massive shrinkage.Touching ground??? Not leveling with other deck??? Theres DIY'ers, then theres complete udder failure. With that attitude youd been better off installing fabric and covering with 2-3 inches of gravel with some type border.
The deck works though. You can build yours as you wish.
Hello, what size nails do you use to nail down 3/4in plywood? Can I use a hammer to install the plywood?
you can always use a hammer but it takes longer. Think I used 2 and 3/4 nails.
Wrong installation the motor need to be 1” to 1 1/2” separation from the gate on the back
too big of a gap then?
I think you might want to grab a dictionary at some point, you are not understanding the word insane. Nothing about your story is even remotely insane. Also you can't plead ignorance if you're making a video about it, let's be smart here.
apologies for the click bait lol
Been wanting to do a MCM-styled living room, and found Burrow in my searching. This video definitely helped me make my decision. Thank you so very much!
love it!
hello how thick are ur plywoods would you mind sharing your design (zoomed)
3/4
I used a 3/8, went thru all of them until I found the right one. Got the battery at Batteries Plus. Now screwing it back in place, does that metal loop go in front of the stationary plastic piece where the screw goes thru the hole or in back where you use the wrench and tighten?
Thank you. Guess I need certain wrenches to get it out?
Definitely not a professional job!
It's a DIY job lol
I think she'll Love it and be very surprised.. 😅
she did!
makes sense. Thanks for clarifying this. Of course my last remaining question is how you account for string sag!
If you pull tight enough then the sag should be negligible
I tried to do this your way and it did not work
@@MissCindyPieO shake it around and try again
I ended up having to open the panel and erasing all the codes programmed. it tells you how to do it in the manual which I have. So that left me with the ability to reprogram new codes by changing each of the dip switches in the fobs. at that point I could program the new codes by pressing the learn button then the fob . Repeating with each fob. Then tested. I got this. Thanks
I just watched your video from 3 years ago and this showed up as your most recent! Congrats on the sale of your place! I'm also house-hacking lol a better living space and asking little extra equity!! Can't wait to watch more of your videos!
Thanks! Happy hacking! haha
I love the color!! What's the name of it? Your video is also super relatable so thanks for confirming I'm building a closet in our kinda small... "great room"! Do you mind also sharing how long just this closet build part of the project took?
I can't remember exactly. A few weeks probably. It's not a complex project, everything just always takes forever. Sorry, can't remember color name either. Should have said it in the video. darn.
Oh Man, I WISH that would have worked. My remote won't program for shi~.
so sorry! best of luck
Good job.... gives me ideas.... just had someone do a quote on our deck that's same size....31 thousand....
31k?? No way hahahah.
Yessir
Don’t let your dogs chew on that pressure treated lumber FYI
oops. they are still alive today fyi
Only thing I was interested in was how you hung the shelf and you didn’t mention it at all!!
I put it on top of the trip piece and then used a brad nailer to nail into that trim piece.
Thank you for the review. I am looking at buying this soon.
Hope you enjoy it!
3:07 👈🏼🤦🏻♂️ OMG…I thought He hit his eye with the furniture’s leg.
@@junito1008 sameeee 😂
Can you please make a video on how to make a deck as cheap and as easy as possible that is able to stay together long enough for someone to pay me and let me drive away? Thanks in advance!
Absolutely love it! Thanks for sharing 👍
sure thing!
This could have been a 3 min video
@@Da_boys14 3 minutes isn’t good for the r algorithm… 😂
@@humediy haha fair enough.
Does it work for small beetles?
Yup!
Since it's held by hinges does the couch become loose over time or become unstable? Any noises, or did you have to take apart and put it back together to make it feel firm again?
@@jholla1313 nope. It holds together nicely. And that includes jumping and wrestling on it everyday with my kids.
Thank you! Plan to try the stoppers. This gate has been the bane of my existence, too! Bane means “manslayer” btw 😂 but this gate opener slays women too!
The Urban Dictionary states that ‘bane of my existence’ is "something that is so disagreeable with your spirit that it feels like its existence might negate yours."😂😂😂
The word "trusts" was not the right word. Those wood boards to which drywall is attached are trusses, not trusts.
Thanks teach
i have tried to signup but i don't know how to be a tasker...so insane the process to signup
How did you make the grooves that the shelves slid into?
@@PetraGalloway I think I took a circle saw and made a bunch of shallow cuts and then cleaned it out with a chisel
COULD YOU DO A VIDEO THAT INCLUDES HOW TO EMPTY THE DIRTY WATER TANK
lol should be straight forward
Did you have to set or adjust the gate opening or closing limits? I'm having problems with those if you have any advice. Thx
@@waxon2 ya I definitely did. Cant remember how I did it besides what it said in directions. I have another video that talked about some of the problem I had setting this up, maybe something in that would be helpful. It’s called mighty mule problems.
They work ok if you don't wait a month between cuts. Grass that high will bog a gas mower.
I just appreciate a two year follow up. It’s one thing when people say “I really like this” (or not) but when there is follow up 1, 2, or more years later… super helpful. Thanks!
Glad it helps!!
Just a note, the commentary should be done over the video of you doing the install not breaking away from the install to a still shot of you explaining. Makes it hard to watch when someone is looking for info to try to dig though the video for the install bits.
