Great Video, FYI you do need videocopilot which is 199.00 in order to do the tutorial. When DL videocopilot there will be another option (for free) to download primitives. This is seperate to the Videocopilot downalod.
Thanks so much for this tutorial, it was so helpful! I have two questions that I was hoping you could answer if you get the chance:
1. If you only used the positional data from the 1st null, why did you create two?
2. Is there any way you can change the direction of the shadow? For example, is there a way to match the shadow of the text to the direction of the shadows being cast by the trees along the road (i.e. light being shone from the right of the text rather than from directly above)?

Hey Jermaine when you're giving each steps could you explain why you're doing what you're doing. Instead of just saying do this, then that, then this. It would be better if you could share your thought process so we can understand the reasons behind them. This will help us in the future trouble shoot and creatively think of other possibilities if we can understand the system. Otherwise, thanks for the video.

What font did you use for the text?
I think the font i used was ‘SF Pro Display Black’
Is there a way to make a better shadow?, I mean, look at the shadows in the trees, are way higher than the shadow of the 3D text.
Under the ambient occlusion parameter, you can increase the intensity of the shadow by playing around with the SSAO effects. Which should enable you to replicate the shadow intensity and direction of the treess etc
mate, you should mention in the beggining you need a £200 plugin for this!
because of my mistake when I installed the copilot plug in element on after effects 2022. then the element doesn't work well, I intend to uninstall the plugin and I will reinstall how to uninstall

My effects dose not have a video copilot. Is that no longer available in after effects?
If you haven't already, you have to purchase Element 3D from videocopilot.net

download the element plug in
my solid and text doesnt stick still it always moves even with diffrent cinematics etc it wont stay still
increase the contrast of your clip then recalculate your scene. if that doesnt work add the refine egdes effect in after effects and crank it up to the maximum then re track your scene again. if that fails reverse your clip and track the clip in reverse. try mix all the steps above together to get a solid track.
i dont have primitives in model browser, nor i can find them online, any help?
You have to download the pack from the videocopilot website. If you download and reinstall Element 3d you should see all the primitives in the model browser.
Did you figure this out? I too cant find the Primitives
As of 7/2023, Adobe After Effects had removed Video Copilot plug-in and cost $25.00 us to reinstall.
