This it has a small AoE if they are bunched up. ALSO many weapons do have "Cleave" which allows you to hit multiple enemies
I think it even friendly fires, lots of friendly knee caps blown off here ;)

As for the AoE at 11:33, Crippling Blow has a small cleave effect. That can hit your guys as well.

Some axes and swords, even one-handed, has a damage radius of like 30-40° idk the stat for that but there is one, u can check it in the gamemaster mode

2.you probably could "examine" migo to see if he had "zombie" talent or not.
The real indicator with Migo is that his poison resist is 200%, which means he heals for the damage dealt.
