The song that plays when link saves Zelda while falling from the sky is called "Not this time!" Which is a perfect name for a song that really represents how Link feels in that moment.

Thanks mate, it's my canon now. 😂
I actually like that. All the other champions wouldnt really have a reason to, since they moved on to the afterlife thinking hyrule was safe. Makes sense mipha would have stuck around because, unlike the other champions, she genuinely loves link.

Yes, I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much over a video game.
The last time I cried this hard over a video game was over Silent Hill 2. At the end I understood why the game was called Tears of the Kingdom.

The only games that ever made me cry were Pokémon Arceus, Pokémon Scarlet and Omori but daaamn I never expected to almost cry so hard over THE LEGEND OF ZELDA

Imagine being Ganondorf here.
You were trapped for thousands of years. Possibly tens of thousands.
You were trapped because a descendant of potential GODS couldn't kill you.
You reawaken after however long, and this guy who's supposed to defeat you for real gets wrecked by like, two blasts and a rock.
You wait atop your throne, and spread your influence throughout an entire kingdom. Corrupting things and making the quality of life absolutely hellish.
Then this 𝓫𝓲𝓽𝓬𝓱 comes along with a seal plush, parries your attack 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺, and slices you open.
You eat a super god rock or something to become an immortal beast of nature.
Another immortal beast of nature just so happens to be there, and for some reason they want to fight you. So this 𝓫𝓲𝓽𝓬𝓱 and the immortal beast of nature team up to kick your ass.
No 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 this dude is so angry. He could feel the plot armor of the seal plush from ten thousand years back.
In the next game it will turn out that ganon only lost his power and in order to defeat Link he will obtain the ultimate seal plushy that has been enhanced with the triforce of power
Yikes
Cooking is car.

This was honestly the most emotional Zelda game ive seen.
Fr tho, especially final fall. That theme almost made my tear up
Have you played Majora's Mask?
Twilight Princess tho ? So much tragedy and emotion in TP.
But I do agree that TOTK reached the standard of goated story Zelda games usually set. (cause you know, BOTW's story was ok but not nearly as good as the previous Zelda games.)
@@math9172 totk's story was better than twilight princess, just barely tho
@@guffthebird72 TP still has the greatest moment in Zelda history with Midna's Lament, but the story _really_ trips on its feet and faceplants in the last third. TotK is more consistently pretty good, and while it never reaches the same high, it has moments that come close (though in a different way)
I am ecstatic that you cried when Link was diving for Zelda because I too cried like a baby.
Me too lol
Same, that moment in the game was just... perfect.
I myself was holding it in, but then I burst into emotional tears when Link grabbed Zelda’s hand
That final battle was absolutely legendary. Flurry rushing flurry rushes, Ganon hacking, rocket jumps, and the most powerful shield of them all. Pointcrow put every technique he gained from the journey on the line. Get some rest, dude.

Ganon actually broke my Hylian Shield lol

This was one heck of a wild ride.
Funny thing, I found Mineru on accident before the quest to find her was given to me, and I seriously thought I found a secret. Then the quest came up, and all the sages and Purah were shocked when Link said he already found Mineru, Purah even complaining that Link needs to tell her these things instead of not saying anything. It was pretty funny.
In other words, I accidentally metagamed and the NPCs called me out on it.
Edit: Found out a good tip, the location of each Lightroot is directly below a Shrine on the surface.
same, i was just trying to get shrines and also was curious about that cloud in faron. At first i treated as an extra but when i went to do the ending and they started talking about the sixth sage then i realized what happened lmao
How did you read the Zonai script? How did you figure the "puzzle" out?
Same. I was just curious and drove my fanplane into the storm and made my way through the dragonhead isles when it was completely covered in stormclouds, and somehow made it to the Construct Factory totally by accident. I'm currently in the construct factory.
Same here! I stumbled into Dragonhead/Construct Factory as my second dungeon experience. It was a pretty crazy blind playthrough.

I was a bit afraid that in the final act we will only fight like mummy Ganondorf - and then it turned into one of the most epic finals ever. Absolutely amazing game, loved your playthrough and your passion for it!
Yeah I was exactly the same but the fight was incredible
We kinda fight his mummy version as Phantom Ganon
I actually was hoping there would be something like a mid-game or mid-depths descent fight where you fight the mummy, cause he looked pretty cool and was still ridiculously strong, given that he shattered the master sword within seconds of waking up from a >10,000 year slumber.
I play ToTK with Japanese voice, and in the post-credit scene when Mineru was saying farewell to the group she said 'I shall bring this message (Ganondorf biting the dust & the group's promise to protect Hyrule) to them (Sonia, Rauru, the other sages)'. Although she might never be canonically alive, this line made me feel like all the Zonai's spirits just returned to where they came from and will reunite with each other, as they were descended from the gods.
In this case all the Zonai will know about the sand seal plushie
How it that any different from the english version?
They really nailed the ending. I have my gripes here and there with the story, but all that flew out the window at the end. There is so much to love about the final boss and the end of the story.
I loved the first two phases of the final boss, but Dragon Demon was just Dark Beast Ganon all over again. Wasted potential for a final boss.
@@adamantlotus I respectfully disagree. Like botw, the first portion is the challenge. The part meant to test your skills. The second part is supposed cinematic, and nothing kills the cinematic vibes like dying lmao.
@@adamantlotus Gotta agree with gecktoast here. All the boss fights in this game were more cinematic than difficult, and I like it that way. There are lynels and gleeoks in the game for people who want a challenge. I am happy that the final fight looked epic and portrayed link as a badass.
@@beastslayer8729 @Gek Toast I agree with the both of you. I never thought of it like that.
@@adamantlotus I agree to you, and agree to disagree with the rest. I like it when the final bosses are difficult, it adds to the feelings in the citematics for me. I understand why not for everyone tho, because i too get frustrated if i lost to much i guess(?. Also, my gripes with the story/game are:
1) I would love to see another apparition of Sonia before healing zelda. Is not that i don´t like happy endings, but it feels like if they took it out of almost thin air to give it a happy ending. They could have shown any itteration of Sonia like they did with the others or Rauru and it would have work, but they wanted to be unseen and that sense of surprise relief that i don´t like personally. Just not for me i guess
2) a little more changes on each boss defeated Cinematics, like Point Crow Said
3) Puzzles more difficult, searching for the map on the Dungeons, and overall not a fan of the breaking mechanic on BotW nor this one. They doubled it down on it and made a very fun and really unique system that could not have been brougth on other ways, they detailed the game so beautifully, and i watched the entire stream because it is so perfect. Just not for me, i would not have enjoyed playing it.
I really appreciate you being as emotional as I was playing through that final sequence. The score blending from that epic heroic mix of the TotK theme into Zelda's lullaby and then the main Zelda theme for the last catch, I just can't man, it's too good.
Okay you can't tell me Link falling through the sky to catch zelda isn't shot to make it seem romantic. After such an epic battle sequence and everything, the focus is immediately on just two people, and there's so many close up shots of zelda's face from link's POV and the triumphant music and everything. I mean sure nothing else happened after they landed, but while that scene was happening it really did feel very romantic.
It was romantic 100%. Nintendo don't want to confirm it, but they did everything for it to look and feel romantic without saying it. In my opinion, this is a canon couple.

In the french dub of the game in the castle when you chase fake Zelda around, the VA did an absurdly goated work at sounding just the right amount of deceitful. Like she sounded like someone faking being in trouble really well.
In the sanctum she also sounded the perfect amount of "wrong" and creepy. Not too much, just noticeable enough.
Incredibly layered performance.
Yes has a french man, the VA was absolutely INSANE, especially rauru's VA who gived it ALL MAN.

8:10:14 The double-take when you notice the HP bar kills me every time.
As soon as I got the Mineru’s Counsel cutscene, I guessed Zelda would be Draconified, and on the bus ride home after that I even pieced together that Zelda was probably the golden dragon from the Great Sky Island… and I am SO glad I did because it completely changed my first playthrough for the better. Everything from then on out revolved around the growing pile of evidence that Zelda had already been lost. A few days later I made it up to her for the first time, and despite knowing how much I needed Light Dragon Scales for the Champion Tunic, I deliberately didn’t get anything from her that time. I spent what must’ve been a half hour irl flying around Hyrule with her just to keep her company because I already knew I was right, I was just in this agonizing limbo of dreading the time when the game would finally confirm what I knew had happened. I got my hopes up that she could be saved, despite what had happened to her, and had those hopes dashed again and again in this emotional cycle of grief. Then, as soon as the light started streaming from the back-center of Link’s hand, where the Recall ability was, and I realized that Zelda was being restored right before my eyes… I have not felt such an intense positive feeling of relief from ANY media EVER before this. I get invested in a bunch of cool stories from games and other media, and it only engages my interest, but what I search for is stuff that creates a feeling I can feel in my chest/heart. I felt that relief through my WHOLE FREAKING BODY. It was like that feeling when you’re leg falls asleep, but EVERYWHERE from how hard I was happy-sobbing. I couldn’t even feel my hands.
That has never happened before. In any game. Ever. Honestly, I’m shocked

WOW! Just, WOW! I couldn't watch when you were live streaming, but I just had to watch all 60+ hrs of you playing, the game mechanics, the music, and the story kept me watching. When you found the memories showing Zelda choosing to turn into a dragon, my jaw hit the floor and stayed there until you moved on, and left me screaming at my monitor telling you to go find the rest of the tears asap. I truly hope they use your idea for DLC and explain the other dragons, whether they're natural born dragons, or did they have a reason to turn themselves. I think the whole deal when Rauru was telling Zelda how she is from a future that didn't have her in the past could allow Nintendo to do a series of games based on the idea of her not going back in time, leaving Link to try to find a different weapon ( maybe one of the other forms of the master sword, or a sword comprised entirely of light, or something). But, honestly, I hope they do more with the Zonai in future games, maybe a plot twist where more Zonai arrive to Hyrule from space, like the original Zonai, but maybe they threaten Hyrule's safety somehow. But as for this game, I agree it's the best game I've ever seen, and even more impressive, it was complete on day one with no huge bugs or errors, proving that more time makes for a great game.
Ps. I love how you keep the seal plushy the entire playthrough, and he turns out to be your last and best defense to finish the game.
