C5 Z06 Corvette Head and Cam Reassembly PART 2

In part 2 we go over getting the short block read for the heads with cleaning the deck surface and chasing the head bolt holes.
Items needed
Thread Cleaner For Heads: ARP 912-0011 for the big bolts M11
Thread Cleaner For Heads: ARP 912-0001 for the small bolts M8
Scotch-Brite Hand Pad 7448 (ultra fine)
Mineral Spirits
Razor blade steel or plastic
The only time you have to use a graphite head gasket is if you have the very early style head with the notch cast into it. The notch is at the exhaust side in and about 1" x 3/4" at the edge of the head.

Thanks for the video! Did you use any lube or anything when using the ARP thread cleaner? I'm doing this on my LS7 currently and was wondering doing it dry was fine or use some oil or brake cleaner.
