      But to entertain you, how will this ideal be achieved? When asked about this in a Shoho debate, he dodges the question. It's obvious why he's trying to seperate government from socialism. Despite the fact a goverment is the only way "the people (general public) has the means of production", as explained in this video.
      So yes, goverment regulation is what he wants to reach this ideal. Thus, what he argues is still using force, a government, to achieve said goal.

      Edit for those who need to hear this: Socialism means only one thing: giving workers the means of production and making workplaces democratic. It has nothing to do with whether or not private ownership exists as a concept. Similarly, capitalism means only one thing: private ownership of businesses by a single person or entity.

      Capitalism is the reduction of a government, the public sector, in the economy. In the ideal, there would be no ruler, a government, to dictate how a nation's economy should work. This is called anarchy, specifically anarcho-capitalism.
      Anarcho-capitalism is the individualist side of anarchism. Meanwhile, anarcho-comminism is the collectivist side of anarchism.
      There is a bunch of nuances to anarchy. I even have arguments to make regarding what is collectivism and individualism in anarchy as well. However, that's a topic for another time.

      Public do = gov't. Public parks are government run. Government military and prisons are publicly funded. Public funding is a nice way of saying "you give us money or men with guns come to your house and take you away to a very bad place, also paid for by you."
      Taxation meets the textbook definition of extortion. Now maybe you like being extorted. Maybe you would willingly donate to fund the cause of dropping bombs on foreign countries and putting people in prison for using recreational drugs. But some people would not consent to paying for other people's abortions or funding genocidal regiemes halfway around the globe, yet they have no choice. If they stopped giving their money to fund state sponsored murder, they will be murdered by the state. So yes, taxation is extortion.

    • @tessaPMpro

      @@Kitkat-986 that's only one definition of the term, public can also refer to the people as a whole, which is what socialists mean when they say they want public ownership of property and the means of production. Profit and rent are also the definition of extortion yet you conveniently leave that out. You can't claim to be against taxation while being in favour of rent, rent literally is taxation just on a private level. Libertardian "logic": when the government does it, it's bad but when corporations do the exact same thing, it's good and perfectly justified!

    • @Kitkat-986
      @Kitkat-986 2 года назад

      @@tessaPMpro No, that's the trick. When socialists say they want everything to be publicly owned, that does mean government owned. A lot of people think there's a difference, there isn't. Publicly owned means government owned. Even public libraries receive government funding.
      How are profit and rent extortion? Let's start with rent. It's a consensual exchange of services. They provide you the service of housing you in exchange for money. And since both parties are consenting, either one of you can break the agreement. They are not forcing you to pay rent, merely entering a mutual agreement with the tenant to provide housing in exchange for money. If anything, theft would be demanding that someone house you for free. To force someone to provide you a service without compensation is theft.
      As for profit being theft? That is utterly ridiculous. When you work for an employer, there is a mutual agreement that they take ownership of the items you produce in exchange for paying you for your labor. You can negotiate for better wages, or search for work elsewhere if you don't like the conditions.
      Alternatively, if you're determined to own the fruits of your own labor, you can take out loans and work hard to create your own company. If you poured decades of your life, into building a company from nothing, wouldn't you be a bit upset if some young socialist came along and insisted you were a thief for making money off of an endeavor you spent a good portion of your life to build up?

    • @Kitkat-986
      @Kitkat-986 2 года назад +14

      @@tessaPMpro I never said taxation is rape. I said taxation is extortion.
      Why do you hate profit so much? What is wrong with someone selling a service which you can choose to use or not to use? If you don't like the thing they're selling, don't buy it! It's pretty simple. I don't particularly like Apple products. I don't own an Iphone, because I think they are overpriced garbage. But the difference between socialism and capitalism is that in capitalism, no one is holding a gun to my head to make me buy the Iphone. In socialism, you have no choice, you WILL pay for the services, whether you use them or not, public health care for example. That is extortion.
      Also, how is rent extortion? No one is forcing you to pay rent. You can stop paying rent and the worst that can happen is you need to find someplace else to live. Is it extortion that a store sells bottled water because people need to drink water to survive? That's silly.

    Socialism is social ownership of the means of production and Scientific Socialism (the Marxist one) is basically a state where the ruling class is the proletariat and the economy isn't based on profit. As class conflict ensues and the burgeoisie ceases to exist, the "state-owned" enterprises would naturally become owned by unions and the workers and the state would cease to exist.

      A state is a centralized political organization that imposes and enforces rules over a population within a territory.

      Second nationalist are not for private proberty as the name suggest nationalism is a form of collectivism.
      Capitalism is a economic systeme based of private proberty.
      Your comment implies that you do not really know what private proberty means.
      Private proberty is the legal controll over an object or person if the goverment regulates a proberty it is not your full private proberty anymore because you are not controlling it.
      So any ideology which is pro goverment is in itself anti-capitalist because it is taking my proberty away from my own body by controlling what i am allowed to do and is always taking my proberty of my objects by taking my controll over the objects away by taxing and regulating.
      If the goverment in that case is a democratic organisation it is at the same time a socialist institution which makes goverment intervention socialist.
      ,,Nationalist can also believe in goverment regulation"
      A nation is an individual country considered together with its social and political structures as a nation.
