I remember this when i was growing up in fact there was 2 of them one was a bit smaller than the other. I am sure one walked from weldon to corby where they aslo mined Ore. Where morrisons is now. I also remember when they scrapped it and it sat on a pile of mud for years next to the 12 arches. Now everywhere they worked is houses or factories. They were the good old days we used to sit watching it working for hours almost every day.
@@martinkemp3161 I am sure there was 2 big white one's the the same as the one's in the video and a smaller black one. The black one was a lot smaller than the other 2.
Number 71 the one I did my training at the age of 17 on at Priors hall quarry near Weldon, today at 17 you wouldn't be allowed within a mile of it... and it would have to have a orange flashing light on the top...

I grew up in Corby I was born there in 1968 and lived there until 1985 and the steelworks were just up the road from my house.
Wow, what a beast, a Triumph for British Engineering in 1955. We couldn’t do it now, we would have to get the foreigners in.
Just been to see "Oddball" today at RSPB St.Aidan's, it's a hugely impressive piece of Engineering.

If folk knew what Priors Hall was they’d never buy a house on there, it was massive in its day. Pal’ call it Londonshire 😂
That looks like "Sundew". You can find out about her on Wikipedia.
