Great video. Wish I was the neighbor to that guy who threw the Tiffany lamp away. From what you've taught us Dr Lori, if it's ugly it will be valuable.
You look bright and beautiful this evening. Dr. Lori! I love your hair pulled back. I always love hearing your amazing stories. Thank you for always sharing and for all that you do for all of us! Love you always.
Good stuff for sure...was thinking the Washington pocketbook would actually be worth more. Glad it's in a museum for everyone to see that piece of history.
I wonder how many people appreciate the width and depth of your expertise, Dr Lori. Thank you for explaining the use of " pocket book" and "wallet" in the US. "Pocket book" is not a term ever used in Australia. Thank you for your verve, your knowledge and your humour.
I found you last Wednesday and, oh my God I've been watching you 8 hours a day !!! I have learned so much, I'm 66 and single, was forced to retire because of 2 bad knee replacements. Now I'm thinking of starting a resale business, because of you, I really didn't have the money to retire. May you be blessed for all you do to help us. I have a big painting of my mothers I need you to apprise , I'll get on your site to figure that out, then when I get the money I'll get your treasure hunt kit. Thank you soooooo much Dr. Lori
Dr. Lori, Thank you for sharing these amazing treasures and the history behind them. So much of an item's value lies in it's History, and without that "story", it often becomes disposable. Thank you for shedding light and restoring the history, thus the "value" of these beautiful items.
They put black paper into insets where advertising would go, then Keith Haring would come along and draw in them. I remember him well. I loved his drawings.
I have a lamp just like that dragonfly one 😮 the stand has dragonfly’s too and my cousin Adam he loves antiques and bought it at a antique store and he gave it to me I wonder if the lamp goes for that much Dr.Lori
I can help. Need to see the lamp to verify what you really have. Send me Photos. Use the form on my website at www.drloriv.com/find-values/online/online-appraisal-form/
I've been collecting unwanted jewelry (for any reason: broken, outdated, mismatched, missing pieces...). I started out with cleaning & repairing (or disassembling), and then deciding what to do with it. My objective started out with simply redesigning each piece in some way that would give it new life. In some cases it meant rearranging pieces, in others it meant "painting" it. If it could not be used for something, it might be unassembled as parts, or used for something else entirely. As I have been going through this over time, I've realized some pieces might actually contain genuine gemstones or may even have gold content. Then I started watching unboxing videos from places like Goodwill from people who are reselling jewelry. In the process I have learned about things like maker tags, stamps, type of settings, etc. and my heart began to sink. I have now worried that I may have taken pieces that could have held value for metals, precious stones, designers, or vintage designs... and now my original intent for this jewelry has been put on pause out of fear I am ruining something of value, and the additional fear of ultimately selling something I've redesigned for a low price when it might have valuable stones. I'm unsure what to do, and am now hoping you can advise me in a practical way. P.S. I am planning to buy a loupe, but cannot afford the gem tester.
Happy Palm Sunday 🦩🌴

That wooden set with trees and cars and houseblocks….I recall playing with one like that in the 1960’s at school.

I was just at an auction and they missed a picasso. I immediately know who it was. I got a 1600s old master painting at the same auction.
