I love watching your videos. They are always informative and entertaining. My mom did domestic work. People she worked for gave her depression dishes. They were located throughout the house. She offered me some pieces. I took some. My husband was in the military. When we moved they came up missing. If I had known by then what I learned from you. Those pieces would have gone with my personal stuff. Thanks again. Keep pushing those videos. I will be watching. Take care

I always thought she wore gloves because when you thrift, you never know where the item has been, and items tend to be dusty/dirty. Also, you don't always have direct access to each your hands after. At least, that's why I wear gloves when I thrift.😊

stumbled across this video and must say it was very enjoyable. However, it brings back the question I've asked myself for over 20 years " How do I determine the value of a piece that has no hallmark?".Specifically, a ceramic(?) type coffee pot (plain white with a ribbed design)brought over from Germany in the late 1800s. I'd be most appreciative for any suggestions.

Interesting thing about the pink depression glass. I have a few pieces. I went into an antique store today with one of my cups (a set of 6) to see what they would buy them for, and the person told me that pink depression glass isn't selling. They would give me maybe $1.50 a cup and sell it for 3x their purchase price. Anything they buy, they add on 3x what they pay for it. I get that they have bills to pay, and this area isn't cheap. I'm lucky I'm still able to live here and I love it, so I can't really fault them. It's a business.
See, I can understand if I missed the boat on this type of glass if this video had a date of a year or two ago, but this is a month old. Pink depression glass should still be on people's minds.
    So... yeah.
I might go back to buy a lot of their pink depression glass if they say it's not selling. If anything, I can add nice pieces to my personal collection for a great price.

I did not know Pyrex made dinnerware that was interesting to learn and I absolutely loved the yellow dinnerware but it was kind of expensive. The set above with the flowers not so much. I did not like that patter an at all. It looked like the dishes you'd get for free in a big box of detergent.

Some great knowledge however prices she quotes, absolutely ridiculous! I have been going to shops for many many years & have RARELY seen things sell at the prices she quotes. I go to many so called Antique Malls, yes do see pieces priced that high, go back in 6 months and still there! It's only worth those prices if you can find someone to pay it & many Antique Malls in places I go have closed because the number of buyers who will pay those ridiculous appraisal prices is very limited. If I could sell or get those prices for what I have, I would be extremely wealthy!
