inconsistent ball flight is why I sold my P770s for the Apex Pro 21 combo... The only thing speed slots are good for are the woods.. also the lack of feel is another reason why i chose the Callaway..
Loving your videos, The way you do your comparisons in detail. Only thing I would nitpick about is not showing all the shots so the videos aren't so long. But awesome content !
Thanks so much Chad! Yeah, I’m with you. I’m still kinda learning my way through producing great reviews. It’s a steep learning curve combined with testing and measuring what the audience seems to appreciate. I value the feedback. I think I’ll continue by doing a mix of review with not all shots shown, and some where I still do and see how they are received. But this has been a really fun process of constantly tweaking how I do these.
Before you think the P770 is a flyer risk maybe you should check out Ali Taylor's review of the Apex Pro. In it he hit a knuckleball screamer that went stupid far compared to other shots. In all the videos of the P770 (and I've seen an unhealthy amount of them) yours is the only one that even suggests the Taylormade suffers from this condition. Thanks for the review !!
Yeah thanks Steve. And to be honest, even if the P770 is a risk for an occasional flyer, that wouldn't be the determining factor for me at all. It's not really a concern or deal breaker for me. But if I hit one, or a few, during testing, I at least want to share it for transparency's sake.
I totally agree Andy. Couldn’t make it happen that day, so it came down to still film, or pack it up. Obviously, I chose to still shoot. That said, it’s amazing how many club reviewers don’t use the same shaft, and just don’t tell you folks about it. Plus, these two shafts are very similar in profile/characteristics. That said, yes, I think more tests but with the same shaft would be great.
While the results for the Apex Pro were better overall, yes, I would say that the P770 is easier to hit. To that end, I do believe that is why the results for the P770 were a bit more sporadic. I was swinging quite a bit more relaxed, perhaps too relaxed on the P770.
The TaylorMade P770 is a lower handicapped club than the Callaway Apex Pro '21 which is more comparable to the Ping G425. They are more suitable for 'ya.
I’m not sure how else to say this. Because I love the subscribers and comments. But your take on this is simply incorrect. In fact directly from Callaway, they say “Any scratch or single digit handicapper who wants speed and forgiveness in a players performance iron needs to try the Apex Pro 21.” The P770 and Apex Pro ‘21 are targeting the exact same profile of golfer.
@@midnight4109 I really need to test those and do a video of them. I will say that Tour Edge is seriously so hot right now. So I really want to give a few of them a run. I’ll hopefully get to that soon.

I have been a Callaway guy for 2 decades, and my son is a Callaway staff pro, but I put the TM P770 in my bag this year. They’re terrific.
Great review

Decent comparison but needs same shaft, that would make another comparison worthwhile

Dispersion, spin and height to the Apex Pro means better approach shots.
Just bought the apex pro. There wasn’t much comparison to the p770 for me. Apex is superior!
You must test each set of irons over 18 holes of golf. It is so much easier firing off 20 shots off a matt.
Looks like the p770 is a bit more easier to hit and more forgiving

Great review. I play the apex pro 21. Love them. Replace them with the 620 MB.
Yeah bud, the entire Apex lineup for 2021 is a homerun I think. For each level of golfer they are targeted for, I think they are really incredible.

I definitely recommend the apex 21 pros to you. And the LS is great ball. Explosive combo. Have a great season.
@@daviddaniels8284 Thanks man. Great feedback. They’re absolutely in the final short list. We’ll see if they win out!
Nice video :)
"Ohh..... Mathew"!!
Ohhhh, Greg!!!
There’s no need to show all these shots. We can’t see the ball on RUclips anyway.

@@MattWilliamsGolf All of them are out of my league. What do you think of Tour Edge for a higher handicap?

@@MattWilliamsGolf The quality is there and the price is right.
What happened to this channel?
You wanted the P770 to win. Your comments were no good as you were trying to sell only Taylormade P770
