I’ve owned the steeldive submariner for half a year, went through work, showers, swimming, even banged it by accident a couple of times. Scratched the crystal on our marble countertop while walking by it. So far the thing keeps ticking and the quality feels great on my wrist. Compared to an invicta it makes me feel like a rich mofo lol. Also with the bezel, I feel like mine also is off centered at certain angles but it lines up almost perfectly on all indices.
I have the Steeldive Starbucks Sub (Green bezel, black dial for people who don't know) and I love it. I got in it one of the major sales for like £50, which is crazy.
I also have a San Martin SN0017G-B sub (£113) and while it is great and better than the Steeldive, is it twice as good? I don't think it is.

@@mr.eswatchreviews Yes, it's the only part of the watch that I feel lets it down.
I may see if I can get a SM on the fly clasp for it

It is decent for the money Sugess makes the closest to the original but the steeldive is damn fine for $110
@mr.eswatchreviews got this for about $96 out the door on sale, got mine on the NATO strap as I don't care for the bracelets on these lower end watches, they usually do not agree with my arm hair LOL... I'll put a different strap on it but I could use the NATO strap on another watch.
Love the design of these, just wish it didn't have the date magnifying glass

Homages leave you feeling empty. Why would you want to have to explain to people that it looks like a Rolex, but it isn’t. There are many affordable watches out there offering history and quality that aren’t pretending to be something they’re not.
@@Videoone123 I mean you're completely entitled to your opinion however I do not feel empty nor do the majority of my viewers and furthermore 95% of the population out in the world couldn't pick out a Rolex unless it said Rolex and I know this because two years ago I didn't know what a Rolex looked like I couldn't have told you not a single model they made or anything they offered basically the only people that would recognize a Rolex would be another watch person or a thief but thank you for watching my question would be is if you're so against how much is why are you watching homage videos?
@@mr.eswatchreviews I didn’t watch the clip, it cropped up in my feed. As you say, do your own thing, I was merely recounting my experience with homages. I have two and they were very much the start of my watch journey. I just think that for £100 or so you could buy a really nice Seiko 5, something with a bit of history that’s not pretending to be something it’s not. I also have no issue with homages, but clones (something that looks the same as a Rolex but just has a different name on it) no longer floats my boat.
@@Videoone123 well myself personally I own everything from Rolex on down and one thing I can genuinely tell you is that the general public doesn't care what you're wearing nor could they identify most watch brands but as to your Seiko 5 I have an skx 5 it's okay but I have the the steeldive SD 1996 which is the skx007 homage and no questions asked I would absolutely take the steeldive over the Seiko it's literally 10 times the quality of materials and build for less than half the price of the Seiko skx 5 so sometimes the homages are even better than the brands that they are homageing again thank you for watching whether you watch the whole video or not

To be honest John I'm not absolutely positive I do believe they actually come from different factories as there is quite a bit of difference and the level of qualities

these are a joke! cheap knockoff crap. go for something worth your money. anything over $50 and these are a complete waste of money. much better options out there that aren’t wannabe knock off chinese movement bullshit 🤦🏻

Who buys stuff like this as a serious purchase? You can get great GMT's for around $2500-$3000, theres no need to buy cheap china watches which doesnt even function.
@@Sn1zzle watch functions perfectly fine there is absolutely no reason to spend thousands of dollars for a watch and to be perfectly honest 99% of the people in the world don't have that kind of money to spend on a watch because again it is just a watch all it does is tell time Concentra Mister money bags why are you watching the videos of cheap watches
@@mr.eswatchreviews Atleast go for a reputable brand... Get a Seiko, Citizen, G-Shock, Bulova etc. Theres tons of affordable reputable brands where you will get respect from enthusiast, rather than hate.
And if people cant afford a $500-$1k watch, why the hell are they looking at youtube videos instead of doing something about it?
@@Sn1zzle well in my personal opinion Seiko is way overpriced citizen does not offer enough mechanical movements too much solar and quartz for me Bulova once upon a Time employed veterans from world war II however that's not the case anymore they have heritage only in names sake is there not owned by the same people anymore and to be perfectly honest I don't give a f*** what anybody else thinks enthusiast collector or otherwise I do the things I do because I like them and I want to and as a person who owns everything from a $20 Casio up to a 13,000 f****** Rolex I can promise you there's not that big of a difference between my $300 San Martin and my 2023 $13,000 Rolex datejust as far as the way they wear is the movement in the Rolex better yes is it tens of thousands of dollars better I would have to say no because the Saint Martin runs like + 4 seconds and this is the whole reason why I started this channel is just to put the blunt truth out there and the truth is facts are you don't have to spend thousands of dollars in order to get a great watch and not including the Rolex but I have at least five other watches that cost over $1,000 ultimately do I feel like they're worth that much money yes because they are very very high quality but if I'm being perfectly honest are they worth five times as much as some of my Chinese watches yes but only marginally so
