A lot of these small-town people do not want to live a pressured, tight-scheduled urban life where they have to step-up how they look and act. Subscribed here from Springfield, Missouri. When I travel by Greyhound (Amtrak is preferred) I sit in the front of the bus closer to the driver also. It does make you feel better. Some bathrooms in the terminals are better than others, and some rest stops are better than others. I always bring chips and food with me, and keep myself hydrated as well. For the most part, no one begs for anything, which helps. Thank for the amazing footage and that awesome music.

Long, tiring, lots of great sites to see on the American road, lots of convenience stores, some really nice ones like that Loves in New Mexico. I enjoyed my trip overall despite a few crazies and drunks.

I just got back to Ohio from my trip to gorgous long beach ca

Train better because seats better much more comfy than bus
Plus you can hang out in lounch cafe car most of trip you not cramped like I was on greyhound bus recently going to long beach from Ohio and from long beach to Ohio
I had about 3 long long delays on bus made me miss my other buses
      Not very fun either

But I hope feds lift that law about forcing people to wear masks on public transit on all planes an bus stations an bus an trains
I was told they might do it soon not require masks no more?

Taking Amtrak you should get a roomette before even thinking about Greyhound. It is expensive but it beats a coach seat for that long of a trip and Greyhound would not be worth the hassle.

Great video and nice music! Riding the bus long distance is definitely an experience and a half; my Greyhound trips have pretty much been no more than 4-5 hours in the northeast, but the cross country trip is a bucket list item. At the moment, according to the Greyhound website, there are three direct buses a day that leave NY for LA; two take the routing you did, through the southwest; the other goes through Denver and the Rocky mountains. That's the one I'd probably go for!

My brother and I flew to New York from California in 1980 and we rode on Greyhound back to California. My older brother had the novel idea of wanting to see America while returning to California. It was a miserable 3 days on many Greyhound buses and you never get to fall asleep before you're woken up to transfer onto a different bus. The bus stations were dirty and the people were scary! At some bus stations, you had to pay to use the toilets. Lastly, the restaurants at the bus stations were horrible! Next time I'd take an AMTRAK sleeper train if I wanted to see America from New York to LA.
