A good friend of mine told me about you at church yesterday. I have been making wreaths for 3 years not. I tried to do an Etsy shop at first and it was extremely overwhelming at that time. I did, yesterday, make my first Etsy sale. Yaaay! Anyway, thanks for your advise. You are too cute! Tracy Patton, Welcome Home Craft and Designs.

I offer free shipping in my Etsy shop. Yes, it makes your items more expensive, but I think it doesn’t scare buyers away as much as the high shipping price does. You can always test it out and see. 😊 I also have a video about how I price my wreaths to sell. I do talk about free shipping in that video as well.

This is amazing!! You’re amazing!! I’m so thankful that you make these videos. I would love to start an Etsy shop but I have to become more organized. 💜💜
Thank you so much for always watching ❤️. What makes you think you need to be more organized to start an Etsy shop? Starting one may help you get organized 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks Jenny for the great info. I watched your interview with Julie and had to find you. I have so many supplies and I need to find that top seller wreath. Thanks again for your openness. Best of luck in your business.
You're so interesting to watch.. I don't know, I've liked you since i saw your first video :) I've just started my Etsy shop and you have great advices! Keep going
Nice video! If it’s God’s will I will soon start my business on Etsy! :Jenny it sounds like you business is out-growing you. You should maybe consider getting a office or small factory and hire a few people( might take your business to the next level) my advice. Blessings, Ali
I have a full video tutorial of this in my VIP group, but first you need to have an Etsy account. Then you click the little shop icon on the top right and select open new shop. Then just follow the steps one by one 😊
However many you can sell in 3 months would be great. However if space is an issue, aim for one month. To clarify, I keep the materials in stock, and make the wreaths to order. 😊
Congratulations Jenny! Sooo well deserved, your wreaths are beautiful! I have learned so much from you! If you ever wanted another idea for a video I would soooo tune into a video on the becoming a legitimate business aspect. I have an etsy shop but now I’m all worried about taxes and how to become an actual business for tax purposes? LLC? DBA? How do you start? Do you talk to an accountant? Do you have to register as a business or can you pay taxes as an individual who is making money through etsy or both? Just a thought for a 2021 video :) Congratulations again!
That’s the question, isn’t it?? Making a design that’s well made and in trend. Optimizing the listing, and getting as many eyeballs as you can to it so it will sell well (marketing).
You are so adorable and inspiring and talented and giving. Gosh, I wish I wasn’t pushing 80 and had your dynamic energy. So, I’ll never have an Etsy shop but I will watch your videos because you’re so fun to listen to.
I did make your pink rose wreath on the grapevine,; my daughter-in-law said it was gorgeous! It will travel to and live in Utah. You are truly a very nurturing and generous young woman. ❤️
I am so happy for you. I have not done well on Etsy. Everyone says my wreaths are beautiful and encouraged me to try and sell them. I opened my shop in 2017 and I’ve only sold 7 wreaths. I’ve took classes, joined groups etc. I just don’t understand. I am ready to quit but i have so much money in supplies I just don’t know what to do. Sorry didn’t mean to dump on you. Again Congratulations!
I’m so sorry you’re struggling to sell on Etsy. It could be a number of reasons. It could be pics, SEO, price, etc. Have you checked out my Etsy tips playlist? I have a ton advice on there that may help. Don’t give up!
Congratulations! You are very inspiring. Im curious though, you say keep your best sellers in stock but I assumed these were made to order. Do you mean to make them ahead of time or just make sure you always have the supplies you need for them in stock?
Great question. I keep the materials in stock, but make them to order. If I have the time, though, making some ahead of time is a great idea, especially before a busy season hits.
Also, I'm touching on this question again in the hopes that maybe since the last time I asked it, you might have come across the answer (because I have yet to and it's, of course, nagging at me!) Do you know what makes a "best seller?" Is it a certain number for one particular item that you have to reach? At one point I had read it was 25 sales on 1 item (granted the sources were not reliable and the info. was dated). But, I've reached 25 sales and then some on some of my items and I've yet to get a best seller badge 😭. Maybe there's a component to earning the badge that is more than just selling a certain number? I'm quite curious! Any insight on this? Thanks Jenny!
Hey! Sorry, I'm just seeing this for some reason. Don't know how I missed your comment. But I did find out that it depends on the category, and if it's selling best in it's category (I'm not sure how specific the categories are). And it's constantly changing. I've had the badge for a couple days, and then it goes away, and then comes back. It's not a huge deal, but it sure is nice when it shows up! When I've had it, it's usually when a wreath is selling at least a couple a day, and usually more. And then as soon as those sales slow down, the badge goes away.
@@JennysWreathBoutique guess what!? I actually FINALLY got a badge!!!!! 😍 But alas, sales did slow, and POOF! It was gone 😔 BUT! I made sure to screenshot it and save it forever!!!! 👏👏👏👏
If someone uses your link to get 40 free listings, do they have to use them in the initial opening of the account? or can they use the free listings later when they are ready to list products?
Congratulations that’s awesome. Thank you for sharing. It is great information. I’m just starting had few wreaths sold to family and friends but I really want to start my Etsy shop. I’m spanking New on this. I don’t even have a shop name. I’m working on it. Hoping to start your VP group. Love your work you do.🌺🌸
Hi Jenny. I had a really good seller (it was an evergreen with pumpkins for autumn) I then changed the pics and description to a Xmas version which also sold a lot. I’m wondering if I should keep doing this for the different sessions (I’ve added a red bow for valentines etc). Basically using the success of that one listing and switching it to fit or make new listings? Also, if I do make separate listings do you keep your successful Xmas/autumn ones available in your shop all year round, even out of season? I’m worried they might get “stale” in the searches and it’ll ruin their success. I hope this makes sense. Congrats on your success. I had to put everything as sold out in my shop on 1st Dec because I couldn’t cope with all the orders, it was my first year on Etsy and I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t have any prep done, it was a nightmare. I pulled it off but when I think of all the sales I missed out on it makes me wince 😩. I’m prepping for next year already!! Can’t thank you enough for all the advice xx
Congrats on having a great seller! Personally I would keep them separate. For many reasons, but mostly because you’re typically selling for 2 seasons at a time. The seasons overlap and you don’t want to limit yourself. Also, if people have pinned it on Pinterest or favorited your item on Etsy, you want them to be able to come back to the same wreath. I hope that helps!
@@JennysWreathBoutique Thank you Jenny, that helps massively. One last question 🙈do you just leave your Seasonal wreaths up all year? I’m guessing my “stale” worry isn’t really a thing? I was wondering if I should de-activate them until closer to that season? Thank you again, so much xx
@@selinahughes7347 personally, whatever is left after the season is over I lower the amount available to 1 and just leave it until it sells, or let it expire. And then I’ll list them again a few months before their peak season. 👍🏻
I have a etsy shop but I have nothing in it at the moment i took everything down because someone said I was ugly and my products were rubbish so I took them down and I'm in two minds wether to start again or give up completely I'm watching your videos to get some inspiration and incentive to continue

Hi Jenny! I’m so proud of you! I love watching your videos. I’ve realized I have so much to learn about selling on Etsy. My Etsy shop has been opened for a few years but only until this past summer, did I really focus and research how to get things moving. Your photography video really helped boost my sales. Please keep making your videos for newbies like myself. I don’t even know how to know if I have a “best seller”! I would love more details on how Etsy advertises and offsite ads, etc. Thank you for leading the way! Amanda@thewildflowergifts
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! When you have a bestseller by Etsy’s standards, the listing will have a “bestseller” badge on it. If it doesn’t have that badge, I consider a listing that sells at least one or 2 a day a personal bestseller.
I am so thankful I found your channel. I am hoping to launch my Etsy store by March 1st. You have been so inspiring to me. I would love to have you as a mentor if that is something you would be open to? Please let me know your thoughts on that. Hope to hear from you.

My fiancé and I will be starting our first Etsy shop this year making handmade dog collars.
Awesome! What a great niche 🙌🏼
Great job!!
Thank you! 😄
Nice video! If it’s God’s will I will soon start my business on Etsy!
:Jenny it sounds like you business is out-growing you. You should maybe consider getting a office or small factory and hire a few people( might take your business to the next level) my advice.

Thanks so much! I definitely pivoted my business some this year and I’m loving it 🙌🏼.
Congrats!! Great achievement. Enjoy the result of your hard work 😊

Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching 😊
Shipping label fee is high, is this apart of the shipping cost?
That is the shipping cost, yes.
How do set up a shop on Etsy?
I have a full video tutorial of this in my VIP group, but first you need to have an Etsy account. Then you click the little shop icon on the top right and select open new shop. Then just follow the steps one by one 😊
on the best seller items how many best sellers items do you keep in inventory?
Thank you so much! 💗 I’m definitely not qualified to make a whole video about this, but I would tell you to register your business at the very least.
So how did you get these t be best seller
That’s the question, isn’t it?? Making a design that’s well made and in trend. Optimizing the listing, and getting as many eyeballs as you can to it so it will sell well (marketing).
Amazing! You’re an inspiration! I have a stationery shop on Etsy and I’m excited to see it grow.
Aww thank you so much! And I’m excited for you! 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad you made that wreath!! That makes me happy!
Congratulations!! ❤
Thank you so much! ❤️
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much! And thanks for watching 😊
Jenny You're awesome! Such a useful video! Thank you so much for sharing your 5 tips!
Hi! So glad this was helpful! 😄
Way to go Jenny!!! You deserve this so much, and then some!!!
This is so encouraging! Thank you for sharing
I’m so glad! Thanks for watching! 😊
If someone uses your link to get 40 free listings, do they have to use them in the initial opening of the account? or can they use the free listings later when they are ready to list products?
They can use them whenever they’re ready. They don’t need to be used at once 😊
Congratulations that’s awesome. Thank you for sharing. It is great information. I’m just starting had few wreaths sold to family and friends but I really want to start my Etsy shop. I’m spanking New on this. I don’t even have a shop name. I’m working on it. Hoping to start your VP group. Love your work you do.🌺🌸
Thanks so much! So glad you’re might join the VIP group!! It’s almost ready!
Have you thought about hiring someone to help during the busy season? Sounds like it would be worth the extra expense just to keep everything in stock
I’ve definitely thought about it!
Was this during Covid?
Yes
I literally just opened my Etsy shop. Wish I had known about the 40 free listings! Is there any way to add it retrogradely?
Congrats! Unfortunately I don’t think there is
Thank you, I did t think there would be.
I have a etsy shop but I have nothing in it at the moment i took everything down because someone said I was ugly and my products were rubbish so I took them down and I'm in two minds wether to start again or give up completely I'm watching your videos to get some inspiration and incentive to continue
Ohmygoodness what a horrible thing for someone to say to you!! When you put yourself out there, it definitely opens you up to criticism. But don’t let that stop you from having your business! Thank you for watching, and I hope you continue with your shop ❤️
@@JennysWreathBoutique I think I will continue I must not let them get to me because if I do then they have won and I'm not going to let that happen your products look lovely by the way I had a look at your shop last night ❤️
What tripod are you using?
I don’t know. My husband got it awhile ago, and I checked and couldn’t find the brand or anything written on it. It’s not great though, and I’m actually looking into getting a different one.
@@JennysWreathBoutique Me too, looking for one that does over head shots. I dont have the biggest space, so I'm doing my research first. Thank you for getting back to me ma'am.
You are so sweet! Thank you for the advice. I am just starting......watching from Virginia ❤️
Thanks for watching!
Hi Jenny, I’ve just started watching your videos and love them so far! And of course your wreaths are beautiful 😊 I’m just wondering if this is your full time job? And if so, did you start out doing it as a side job?
Hi! Thanks for watching! Yea, this is my full time job now. I talk about the whole story of how I started and built it up to a full time job in this video if you’re interested 😊 ruclips.net/video/LyT7C-Q6kQ4/видео.html
I've never heard it pronounced like nich before. LOL :) No worries! Loving your videos!
😊
I am so thankful I found your channel. I am hoping to launch my Etsy store by March 1st. You have been so inspiring to me. I would love to have you as a mentor if that is something you would be open to? Please let me know your thoughts on that. Hope to hear from you.
Hi Lori! So thankful you found my channel too! I’m definitely open to that, and have been asked by a lot of people about the same thing. I’m thinking about maybe offering some one on one coaching calls via zoom or something like that if you’re interested. Finding the time is my only issue!
@@JennysWreathBoutique awesome. Sounds great! Hope it works out for you to be able to do that. I love your style, honesty and transparency.
Congratulations girl! Let us know if you find a good wholesale supplier.
Thank you! And I just ordered a bunch of stuff from a wholesale supplier and I’ll do a video about it when it comes in! Hopefully it’s good!

Vitamin
Anticlimactic
The list goes on.
I wouldn't worry about it. I think most people just ignore it now.
Hello Jenny ♡
I'm still debating whether to create an ETSY page for my photography, but I'm a bit hesitant. Not sure of all the tax side of it, and other things. If you can email me and help me to understand a bit more of the legistics I would appreciate it. Thanks my friend. I miss seeing you and the family. Sending lots of love ya'lls way.
Hi Bobbye Sue ❤️. Of course! Message me your email address and I’ll email you. I’m no expert in that area, just so you know. Miss seeing you too!
I started selling jewellery recently..my dream is to be at ur stage one day
That’s awesome! Best of luck in your new business!
