Did you get to making a store right away? Or did you just use the basic Etsy selling..? Cuz I believe it's two different things? A store I believe is? $15 a month?? Not sure how much but I'm sure there's an extra cost to it? Did you do that first or did you just do a basic selling page on Etsy

Love what you do, when i get depressed and discourage i think of your story and it cheers me up so much. I don't have a shop but i love love crafting. I do some yard sells and i do ok sometime. That's great to hear that after 10 sales in your first year - it's continued to grow to what it is today. I am a stay at home mum and that's why I first went into business (4 years ago) but I have a creative brain and I think I have a bit of ADHD so I struggle to stay in one product area for long. However, I've always loved wreaths and flowers....I'm looking forward to starting my new chapter. I'm so glad your business is giving you everything you need in terms of raising your family etc. It's commendable x

It's just 1 month since I opened my Etsy shop and last night I just felt so discouraged having no sale at all. Four years ago I had to stop working for medical reasons and obviously the household income was effected.
I like to paint wood signs, crochet, knit, and to dabble in wreath making. I give my wares to my friends and family.
I know someone that has a small craft shop and I took some items there to sell. I sold one burlap wreath and a fleece pillow... 😱💖 her shop doesn't get much exposure so that is all I sold.
I have been told several times that I should start an Etsy shop and sell my wares. I just don't know where to begin, if people will like what I make etc...
I watched your videos on starting an Etsy shop, how to price your items, etc.
Like you said in your video you won't know unless you take the first step, set a date and just do it.
Your wreaths are absolutely beautiful and you inspire me to want to talk with my husband to help me to start this journey so I can contribute financially again.

I absolutely adore your personality! I watch a lot of ecommerce related videos and your video is such a breath of fresh air. I love how positive and appreciative you have have been throughout this journey, and how much gratitude you show for every sale and every customer that you gain. I just started doing ecommerce a couple of months ago, including opening an Etsy shop this month. Sales were super slow in the beginning but it's finally picking up a little bit. It does get very frustrating sometimes and this video is good reminder to stay positive and keep on going! Thank you!

This was my first idea for selling on Etsy was doing wreaths, but my health isn’t so good and I was scared I’d get behind on orders and ruin my reputation, so I ended up starting a shop with digital products. I’ve been selling 1-1/2 years now and I’m doing pretty well, but I’m still so interested in doing wreaths with faux flowers. And yeah that first year was struggle city. I really need to do more social media. I’m only doing Pinterest and not updating it like I should. Maybe one day I will go back and start another shop making wreaths. Continued success to you!
I love that you do digital products! I’m trying to incorporate more of that myself. It’s so nice when you hear that “cha-ching” and you’re done! The order is fulfilled! Sorry to hear about your health. I completely understand why you would start with digital products. That was really smart. You could just start a small shop and have your wreaths ready so ship instead of made to order. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about falling behind. That’s great that you started on Etsy selling digital products. I did start with wreaths but actually want to start a whole separate shop where I can sell digital products. I love making and selling wreaths but for me, it has been a costly and time-consuming journey with pretty slow growth. I’m new to business so I think starting off with something that is digital may have been a better start. But Jenny really does help make the journey easier. Im part of her vip group and I would be lost without it.

Your video was so helpful!! What’s holding me back is simply stepping out… that first year can be such a struggle. Low sales, the stress of purchasing products, I’m afraid of a bad review and learning to navigate Etsy.. I’ve been a florist for many years ( due to bad back I’m unable to be on my feet all day) and I want to start an Etsy Shop but … just… gotta… go for it.

Thank you so much for watching! I’m glad you like them! Yes, creating listings can be very time consuming. That’s one of the reasons why I suggest selling multiples of the same thing if you can. That way you make the listing once, and then sell it over and over again!
I grew up doing craft shows with my grandmother and her neighbor. The golden age of craft shows was back in the 90's. But even back then, we learned very quickly that spring shows are terrible and we stopped doing anything before the last weekend of August. Just like with Etsy, sales start picking up in the fall as people start holiday shopping.

I am exactly like you personality wise!! I am really happy for you. I can tell that you’re forcing yourself to go out of your comfort zone which I give you so much credit for because I know how hard that must be. I have so many artificial flowers taking over my home lol. I wanted to make a bunch and have them packaged before I pull the trigger and sign up with Etsy. This is so inspirational. I am also a stay at home mom by need for our family! I always dreamed to have my own shop, and stationary has always been a big thing for me. So my shop will be lots of stickers and stationary paper related!
It's so hard to save up. and starting my business would take forever to do since I don't have the right tools (silhouette, printer, ipad for procreate!!) And will take a while to save up for.
I think the biggest fear we have right now is investing our personal money into it.
Besides it being a long dream of mine, I have been so sad about not being able to put my kids in extra activities, supporting my husband and myself on our own hobbies and interests... 😩. Being a stay at home mom is a tough role and job!
Oh yes I can completely relate! And while wreath making wasn’t a big investment up front quite like what you want to do is, I think it will be so worth it! Just start small and grow from there. You’ll learn so much along the way. And remember not to compare your beginning to someone else’s middle. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to share this video, was to show how slowly I started. I really enjoy your videos about Etsy. I started in 2016 but have not realized what one might call success. I have major health issues and even bought a new vehicle to haul wreaths (and I make leaves cast in cement) to craft fairs. It was killing me and I never made enough to cover the fee. I do want to get my Etsy shop profitable. I do not know how to set up my shop to look visually professional. Your suggestion to make one style of wreath with the same materials is one I will put into action. I will continue to watch your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom. Yes, craft fairs can be tough. They’re a lot of work and sometimes just not worth it. I checked out your shop! Your wreaths are so fun! I would recommend working on your photos. Maybe try brightening them up a little. I can tell you do great work, and you have some great reviews. I don’t think your pictures are doing your wreaths justice. I hope that is helpful!
Oh my goodness!!!!! I just recently started making wreaths! The reason I started is because I was wanting to buy flowers for the outside of my house and my husband told me no lol I too am a stay at home mom now. That's too funny! Thanks for all the info! Your videos have helped me out alot 💗💗

Hi, yes I have thought about starting an etsy shop. What's stopping me? First I have no idea how to price. Packing? I donate wreaths to my church fundraisers and people love them. I also decorate the church doors. I make for gifts. I'm glad you are doing so well.

I have an Etsy shop but having been debating moving to another platform, I would love to hear why you chose Etsy. I've been in business since March 2020 and business has actually been really taking off for me but I definitely see that the more you put into the shop, the more you get out of it.

Great to see your video and as someone else said, very genuine. I have an existing printing business but with 3 kids it's getting harder to run. So, out of necessity we're moving online. It's taking that step. Aren't friends the best!

Would love to see any videos on the Etsy shop! My friends and family encourage me to sign on with Etsy for my small wreath business but my main fear is wasting my money to invest in this endeavor and what if it is not successful? You are very encouraging, however, and you make beautiful wreaths!
