Anyone have issues restarting generator on propane ? Just bought mine it fired right up on propane , ran for awhile shit down and everytime I shut down and try to restart I have a hell of a time restarting! Usually have to end up pull starting , and no battery is not weak, it’s like it’s super sensitive to choke and being flooded but I’ve tried every scenario of choke with same results , have not ran on gas yet
Hi there. Just bought the same model.. I am new to this generator thing. How important is it to run for 4hrs.. I’m thinking it may be too much for my neighbors on a sunny day in the afternoon
Awsome video. I just baught 1 today at Lowe's because we could get 1/2 inch of ice and 12 inches of snow on top of that. How long can it run on 1 grill size tank of LP ? I only have 2 tanks.
@@TheLowlyTraveller Awsome thanks. When this is all over I'm going to stock up on fuel. Everyone is sold out of propane right now because of this winter storm comen in tomarrow
@@TheLowlyTraveller it's been 1 year sense ya made the video and I was curious if you had any major issues with it? I haven't had time to fully break mine in yet.
the problem with those firman generator they have a total harmonic distorsion of 25% at full load...not the best for electronics (tv, pc, cpap, apc battery, pellet stove....they blew electronic card...need inverter generetor for those fancy electronics)
First of all, that 25% THD number is not supported by ANY documentation and is NOT the official Firman spec (which is 11% to 14%, I believe). Second, THD is a completely USELESS measure of the waveform damaging electronics, because it does not say HOW the waveform is imperfect. A series of occasional very sharp voltage spikes could have a lower THD than a "fuzzy" 60 Hertz waveform, but do vastly more damage to electronics. Get your FACTS straight!
Runs much better for me on Natural Gas than propane. Also, adjusted the rpms down just a hair so the HZ were a little lower. LED stuff stopped flickering randomly.
barrigany there is a set screw above the choke and under the tank. It has a lever attached to the throttle and stuff. It is a Phillips head screw but it has a nut on the back you have to loosen before you can make any adjustments.

Hey just got mine. Got 15 min on propane and about to do another hour or so on gas this weekend. So far so good. Still liking yours?
Yessir. I took mine out today and ran it for a lil bit on propane. It fired up my air compressor without even breaking a sweat.

It should run 8-10 hours on a tank of gas. Not sure how long on propane. I would guess 4-6 hours.

Anyone add a muffler to these firman 9000 watt generator yet or make a specific sound box for it? It's a loud generator.

I use an uninterrupted power supply UPS that connects to my PC with also a USB to adjust for distortion

@@HorizonBroadband , how do you adjust the RPM?
