Miss Carlisle added humor and sophistication and class to a game show.

Game #2: None of the panelists commented on the erroneous pronunciation of Houston Street.

Perfume guy number one reminded me of Lloyd Bridges

I'm from New York, and I call it hyooston even though I know it's howston. Still, it's not the last station in Manhattan in any direction anyway. The subway record would eventually be broken by two other fellows a good number of years ago. Personally, on my 10th birthday while I didn't go to every stop I was determined to ride on every line that existed at the time. Even if it was only for a few stops I counted it so I could say I rode every line. Some lines like the QB only ran in rush hour so had difficulty there. Yes, this was before they got rid of the double letters and unified colors. I was getting bored by the afternoon, but I stuck it out and succeeded.

The spelling of Steffen Arctander is not Stefan Octander. Might want to fix it in the episode description so the video can be found via the proper spelling of Steffen Arctander's name. IMDB has it listed correctly.

Jeffrey Arnold # 2 was knocked out on the first word he uttered - "U"ston Street, surprised the panel didn't comment

I knew the subway rider had to be #1. Number two mispronounced Houston Street. NY’ers know it’s pronounced HOW-STON. And number three’s dialect was more Boston or New England sounding. As for the last set of players, number one certainly does look like Lloyd Bridges.

Wow! The boy saw only "two bums" on the subway in 24 hours!

Hm! Subway fare, fifteen cents. According to the Inflation Calculator, if it had simply kept to the general inflation rate the fare would now be $1.25. PS: It ain't!

Phyllis Newman is an upgrade from Peggy Cass and her who, what, when, and where questioning. Besides, Phyllis was a babe on this show. Orson Bean was a different breed of cat. Bud made his job seem easy.
