    Thank you, especially if you made it to the end. It sucks that Steve's are "beefing," but it's good to call out anti-black Black/mixed with Black celebrities. I hope one day he apologizes for what he said back then because it does not make him look good. Lastly, like the video and comment (share the video too)📌

It's *YOU* hateful, snack pack throwing neurodivergent, inbred racists job to apologize to the WORLD for your racist entitlement, black privilege, and hate that literally kills people and causes genocide of mixed and non black people. There's something about black men specifically in California that have an aversion of having unambiguously black partners that needs to be talked about lol. Both in hetero and queer spaces. I'm not from there, but I can tell a thing is a thing and it's obvious to ME

    • @onlyJann
      @onlyJann Год назад +9

      I'm from cali... only date white men and am now married to a white man but i grew up around nothing but white people
      I notice a lot of men from like LA that are from the "h00d" want to be seen as different non h00d or non ghett0 and dating nonblack or mixed race makes this possible for them
      They grew up in LA around black women that look and act similar to them and their family but they want to set themselves apart they feel they are better and worthy of better these women bring up their value
      It's all about the complexion tho because the girl could be a h00d chick from the same area but she's not dark or black and that's what matters
      🤷🏿‍♀️ I've literally been told I belong in the h00d based on my darker skintone, deep self-hatred in CA like any major states/cities where you have super rich and very poor close together

    • @HighMaintenanceMinimalist
      @HighMaintenanceMinimalist Год назад +3

      Regardless of where or how they were raised, it's definitely more common for black and mixed race men from CA to have a non-black racial preference. I was raised in LA and grew up in The Bay and I can attest that CA black and mixed men have a habit of pedestalizing other groups above their own.

  • @johniebaltimore

    First I must say I freaking love Steve Lacy’s music. His last album is so good. With that being said lol your video has shed more light on his anti-Black behavior. I don’t get offended that he chooses to date non-Black men because I can’t force anyone to be physically attracted to Black men; however, I agree with your point that Steve needs to examine why he feels the way he feels. I grew up in a Black-majority city and went to predominantly Black schools (including college) so maybe that’s why I am primarily attracted to Black men. I have dated a few yt/mestizo Latino men in the past but 99.9% of my relationships have been with Black men. I think Steve Lacy’s background might be a factor since he was around more non-Black folks during his formative years. His tweets were ignorant but he was a teenager so I pray he has matured now. I also noticed that folks from Odd Future and/or associated with them (Tyler, Frank Ocean, Steve etc) tend to date non-Black people. As well, they tend to collab or work with light-skinned Black/biracial women (Foushee for example) and woc (Kali Uchis) more than unambiguous Black women especially dark-skinned Black women. They all make great music tho but I’m just sayin lol

    • @saxviars9749
      @saxviars9749 Год назад +22

      Yes! That's what I noticed about Tyler. I'm glad that we have Kali Uchis tbh and I won't even blame her for using her connections, but it really made me upset how Tyler couldn't even uplift not one unambiguous black woman from what I've heard from his features and discography. This is why I love kaytranada. I think all of his features from the BUBBA album were other black artist and I love that. Check it out if you haven't. I was sleeping on him for so long.

      @@saxviars9749 thank you for your response. Yes I love KAYTRANADA. Bubba was amazing. My top 3 songs from that album featured Black women (VanJess, Estelle, and Teedra Moses). He has also worked with NoName. That’s why I question the OddFuture/The Internet-affiliated dudes because it seems like they consciously try to only work with multi-ethnic/non-Black women. It’s like their dating “preferences” seep over into their business side smh

    I was in love with a bisexual Mexican-American man and he said the exact same thing about Latin men, that they reminded me of his brothers. I'm glad he and I never dated, because I'm part Venezuelan and part Iranian-American, and I'm strongly attracted to both genders of my cultural background. I'd never want to date a self-hating brown person. I'd love to see more famous Black and Brown same gender couples and I really liked Steve Lacy until I discovered this. I am not a man, but as a bisexual I think you cover the topic very respectfully. I was trying to find an article I read a while ago by a gay black man who hosted a party and all the black gay men who attended had white partners that they brought with them (including himself), which he thought was interesting and wrote an Op-Ed about (unfortunately I couldn't find it though). Never heard of this guy until watching this but he is from California. Sadly, almost all of the BM from the west coast have this mindset regardless of their sexual orientations. It is notoriously known that in LA, black men are only looking for non-black people to date. It is an epidemic that has unfortunately been passed over & over. The self-hate bm have is astounding. It is one thing to say I have not done that, we have not dated or idk, but to BLANTANTLY shut it down irrevocably is an entirely different phenomenon.
    They seriously lack any non-superficial clear thought process. These types are usually perpetually childish, lacks emotional intelligence/depth, empathy, or deep objectivity. When we look at it, in the LGBT community there are MAYBE lots more BW with BW relationships than there are BM with BM relationships. 🤔🤔
    Anyway, As an ex-Tyler stan, I have far removed my feelings and all from these feeble-minded men years ago. Hope they can one day heal their self-hate.

    1.) He answered a follow up question & he gave his preference. He literally gave you a reasoning to why he chooses not have love interest with black men which might not be the answer you're looking for but its still answered .(rather have him give the truth then lie)
    2.) You shouldn't expect lacy to follow up with your excuses. Why would he change up for us ? Let's be real, We wouldn't do the same
    3.) This dude Steve made a good point "Tell me what good are you doing for people of color rather than bashing them for preference?" It's a on going cycle of yall bashing this man instead of trying to level with the man himself. At the end of the day, Both ends aren't going to agree with each other so why not just leave it off then trying to drag this dude (Which don't matter because yall do it anyway for the clicks/Likes)
    4.) How can he be anti-black when he grew up in a black household and Compton? Yall wanna write this dude off so bad and for all of it to immune to nothing.
    Lastly, You decided to make a video trying to come at Steve for accountability of his actions but never actually go in detail on how he can change as.person. It seems like more & more everyday this whole cancel culture circle starts to become more toxic everyday. Cancel culture will never amount to anything but only towards negativity. I'm not saying you gotta agree with Steves idealism/preferences on his dating life but you cant judge another man for their lifestyle.

      @@karishajohnson6537Right. And yes, we can judge people for their choices. You may not like the judgement, but it is what it is. The same way Steve Lacy can denounce an entire ethnicity, that same ethnicity has a right to speak on it. Tf. No one is trying to cancel him. If he wants to publicly talk about his preferences, then people have the right to publicly respond. And if he considers black men his brothers, he must consider black women his sisters lol. Just going to assume he doesn’t date them either. He really gave a weak ass excuse to basically say he is ashamed to be associated with black people. Let’s call a spade a mf spade. Tired of people using preferences to cover up blatant racism. I also find it interesting that he is mixed with Filipino, but he’s never said he wouldn’t date them. It is what it is. But again, let’s not pretend this man isn’t full of self-hate.

      “How can he be anti black when he was raised in a black household?” it sounds exactly like- “how can he be anti black when he has black friends?” You can’t choose who your family is so that was a super bad excuse. You do realize that throughout history a lot of mixed race people were raised by their black mothers and then after they became anti black due to the fact they hate their blackness? Also, those people grew up in the south- in small towns that were predominately black but they still ended up being racist. Being raised by a black person does not automatically mean you can’t be racist, because that person may hate that side of themselves. You not understanding that just shows how you are clearly not a black person, and it really shows since you made this ignorant excuse.

    I’m a woman and a heterosexual. I think I can understand what he’s saying to a degree. My husband is Black and I have 3 biracial children from my first marriage. I find all races attractive and haven’t had an issue with attraction or lack thereof to any man based on race. My kids who are young adults ALL say they would not date another biracial person. When I ask why they say it’s because they’d look like brother and sister! They’d date Black, White, Asian or any other, just not biracial. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous but that what they say. Maybe Lacy feels like they are like family, like his brothers and sisters?

    It’s called preference people. There needs to be a limit to the extent wokeness can force you to have sex with someone you are not sexually nor physically attracted to. I like girls with curly hair and green eyes, doesn’t mean I am discriminating against every other girl who doesn’t have those features. I just have my preference. Sexual preference is very different and even separate topic than ideological preference and that includes racist ideas. Steve is and should be allowed to be physically attracted to any colour person he pleases without feeling guilt for it. What’s funny is people who tell him he should only date black people also fail to realize that they are fetishizing black folks as if they mere sexual objects only intended to serve as sexual tokens. That’s a form of racism too, you know.

    i do actually have a question is that will he date a black girl?????? i mean hes bisexual, so he will still date girls, but he never said he wont date black girls, he just said he wont date black guys, so if hes willing to date black girls, then what even is that? clearly thats not racist, and hes not hating on men because hes dating a man, so what the fuck is the situation lmao i guess human society IS complicated indeed

    • @JulianSteve

      Thank you for asking. IDK how far you got into the video, but Steve Lacy not being attractive/not dating Black and/or mixed with Black men is a problem. He's bisexual and it is weird. Why exclude Black/mixed with Black men? Then, the rest of the things he said in 2017 makes the situation worse.
      P.S. - If he does date Black/mixed with Black women, that is fine like I mentioned in the video :)
