I love when he says that it’s in his calendar. Like, imagine Darcy freaking penciling in “holy crap she likes me” and leaving special check marks every day after. So of course he has an accurate count.
Heidi Oh yes, I completely agree. I didn't mean my comment as a criticism in any way, although I can see how it could be interpreted that way. (I was actually more reflecting on how this adaptation in particular (and the original text, obviously) are very Elizabeth-centred and focused, and how we don't really get much of Darcy at all. It's the same if you clip all the scenes of the 1995 P&P with Darcy. I should have made that clearer.) The structure of LBD means we don't naturally get much of Darcy's voice except through others as they discuss him, if that makes sense. It makes it so interesting!
mebfeather, that makes total sense and is very thoughtful! I didn't mean to disparage your comment. (See, I just watched the 2005 P&P and needed to refresh my soul with clips of the depth that the 95 P&P and LBD bring to the story so that's where my criticizing spirit came from XD). It is interesting that regardless of the version, Darcy's letter is probably the longest space we hear his actual pov. His character is even defined in the book so much by what others say about him (Fitzwilliam, the housekeeper, etc). I do find all the different Darcy costume theater actors to be so fascinating. They add legitimacy and depth to Lizzie’s descriptions. Bc after all, "these are Lizzie's videos. Lizzie sees what Lizzie sees."
I love when they are doing costume theater as themselves talking about Jane and Bing , but in reality they are talking about their own feeling and when they realize it it gets all awkward. He takes off the hat to end the artificial conversation because he really wants her to ask him if he would still take her ❤
it is so funny contrasted to how they act out of character with no chemistry at all in that regard but very strong bickering sibling vibes . . . . it is hilarious ^^ and well, he is gay
It gagged me how everytime he'd show up, his face would be off frame. Like you hardly see other characters do that, either they're often far back enough for their heads to still be seen in frame, they come in checking to see if the camera is recording and address it, or they'll address Lizzie from behind the camera and then they'd come in frame. But everytime Darcy appears, he's always walking in, face above the lens' field of sight, and addressing Lizzie FIRST before the camera. Idk what EXACTLY it means, it probably means something that Lizzie always matches his stance, but everytime it'd happen, I'd be in such a tizzy!! Something about façades maybe, or propriety, idk! There's something in the sauce.
This moment with "Gigi told that you wanted me..." always gets me
Every time Darcy does something cute, I make a sound like a garbage disposal
Couldn't have worded it better
lmao yes
"I thought you were chinese" I swear this gets me every time
I want someone to say this to me so I can say, in a confused manner, 'I suppose I am? '
Wong Jing Hui oh my god 😂😂😂 i love that so much
Her delivery is perfection 👌

Oh my God. I just imagined it, and it is hilarious!!!
He’s keeping track of her birthday
XD
To this day Darcy being Fitz is my favorite thing in the entire world
George Weasley
Same .
I guess it can't be Fred anymore, so this is good too.
@@SingingWithWings Was this necessary? We can never get over Fred's death, huh? *sobs*
Wow. This compilation really highlights just how much we don't actually get to see Darcy...
Although, it also highlights how long and in depth LBD is. 30 min is a full quarter of the length of 2005 P&P and here it seems so brief.

Heidi holy crap you’re right. Damn.
and still it works
Every version of Darcy melts my heart 😭
bbria28
This version of Darcy is still my favourite though
Even the one with the zombies??
Random Meta maybe not that one, he sounds like a 60 year old smoker.
The dog off St Trinian's
The modern context makes the social class thing all the more insulting
And yet it's still very much a thing that many people have to deal with daily.
Americans pretend it doesn't exist, but I still hear men referred to by their earning potential.
It's sad really, class unconsciousness is so widespread that it's considered rude to discuss class and salary with co-workers, I wonder why? 🤔
It is still happening now, people do still care about status, family background, education etc
"You called me a Newsie!" always makes me laugh.
Yeah... I just saw you in the hat once, I just ran with it.
YOU MEAN I COULD’VE WATCHED THIS 3 DAYS AGO INSTEAD OF SKIPPING THROUGH TO GET TO ALL THE CUTE PARTS BECAUSE I HAD A MIDTERM TODAY??? DAMN.
12:32 HIS FACE WHEN SHE TOUCHES HIS SHOULDER AAAAAAHHHH
Darcy's face when Lizzie touches his shoulder >

OH, YEAH
Gigi - the President of the Lizzy William club
darcy: two parts of me have been in war

lmaoooo 💀
This might be irrelevant, but I thought of Spock when I heard it, two sides, logical and emotional.
@@Linhdoesstuff Darcy is such a Vulcan
@@ameliavance4268 He is, very much indeed...
when they kiss for the first time...they mustve been sitting on top of each other for that shot. he is literally facing ninety degrees from the camera
Wow! It's an amazing summary if you're not having enought time to see all episodes. ❤
So cute and awkward... I love them...
28:20 his hair gets me every time
8:50 - 9:20 absolutely the best. I am a fan of her work. And I am a fan of how smooth Darcy is as he gets more comfortable.
holy moly!----the way he kisses her. I swear either that is some fantastic acting or maybe they are actually dating???
Kristina Sellers I believe he’s gay so they probably never dated
He is actually gay! And that really breaks my heart!
Just really good acting. DVG is actually gay. :)
It’s probably the fact that he’s gay that makes it easier for them to essentially “be into” the kiss like that.
I’m all the nice men are gay
The sexual tension oml
it is so funny contrasted to how they act out of character with no chemistry at all in that regard but very strong bickering sibling vibes . . . . it is hilarious ^^
and well, he is gay
“Your sister.. is crazy”
...and that's something they have in common!

Such a great example of communications between the sexes.
god I love this series😍
You missed the scene where he picks her up
Μαρια Ιωαννιδου that was technically a q&a, not an episode
This is the most amazing thing thank you so much
Thank you for posting this.
god I miss this
Shit I am addicted to this..
22:16 she seems so sad :( very good acting
Who the hell disliked this?!
We appear to have four Wickhams on this planet...
7 now...
It's just the one George Wickham on fake accounts.
Lady Catherine might have one
What about Caroline?

The fuck everything that doesn’t have Darcy cut 😅
what are you trying to say? and yes, this is a compilation for those who watched the whole show consisting of the sceanes he is actualy present
19:7 Darcy looks like he's about kill George Wickham xd🤣
delicious
the sexual tension in 12:08 and 12:32 is epic
24:12 but definitely a distraction.
16:30 im dying
Sorry but any other accent than an English one is just wrong for anything Austen.
not if the whole thing is canonical in the us
I dont like this version....
Maybe you'll like it better if you watch the whole series?
Sadddd :(
why?
this is awful. Crazy awful. What the hell possessed anyone to defile Jane Austen's work in this way?
Maybe if you watched the whole thing, you'd see things differently
Watch the whole series and your opinion might change
This tried to do something new, while respecting the source material. The 2005 version is much worse in my opinion.
Don’t forget the 1940 version. That is the worst by my count by a lot, though 2005 is not my fav either.
Everything is just awful isn't it? Lol
Utterly horrible, and I can't stress that to strongly.
oh no, someone dares to make a modern adaption, how dare they
