Trust me not all of them appreciate the business. Most people are struggling these days but even the extra effort that we’re making as consumers to support any specific shop is not always reciprocated. If I’m buying a sock or a shirt on a regular basis, I expect for them to also give me a fair opportunity to get the heat and sought after products. All I can say is , if the Skateshop doesn’t show me love, I will still go out and pay resell prices for what I want, but that’s a big loss on them as the 400, 800 I’m spending on eBay/goat could have easily go to the Skateshop but hey it is what it is.
2 local skateshops in my city just closed. And few other are struggling. It’s dope that a lot of them are now getting Dunk SBs. But even with raffles and FCFS, stock gets eaten up by resellers instead of local customers who actually wears and or skates in the shoes. These shops don’t make a profit of selling just QS Dunk SBs. If win a raffle or FCFS at local shop it’s good gesture to get something and helps them out.
The only one here in my city is closing in Feb.....but I will say the guy gave off some serious gatekeeping vibes when I went in there.....like, bro I'm not a great skater, but I'm trying.....jfc
Both are good options, I’ve been fortunate enough to see them both in person, the court purple has a “darker” look to it while the other court purple OL has a “lighter” look to it. If I had a choice of buying either I’d buy the court purple, but the gum bottom is nice as well both great looking shoes
If you guys buy from a local skateshop. Buy a shirt or some socks. A lot of skateshops are hurting right now and it’s helps these small businesses out
