Nike SB in the pink box era was the height of my sneaker fanaticism. Just recently bought my first Dunk SBs in years when the Yutos came out and now I'm getting into SBs again. And Chris is right, there's no comparison between SBs and Nike Sportswear Dunks when it comes to quality and materials. Keep the SB reviews coming, Chris!
I got my panda dunks just at the end of 2023, when the hype on them had finally died down and Nike was restocking them regularly. I'm glad I waited. No way was I gonna pay $300+ at the time for a pair of plastic leather kicks that didn't deserve to be sold above $110 in the first place
Agree 100%. I enjoyed the look in the previews but was pretty blown away with the leather quality on those. I hit retail on them as well but thinking about doubling up while the resale is still favorable.
This review was AWESOME! Of course, all of your videos are great, but when a new Jordan 1 comes out usually the only difference between the new one and the last one is the colourway. But with this dunk release, the amount of detail in this review genuinely surprised me! From the tech in the insole, to the info on how this pair doesn’t have triple stitching, this review was an absolute grand slam. Absolutely loved it, thank you so much!
I love the black/white color scheme. I plan on getting a pair of black/white dunks at some point but would love if they were SBs and not sportswear….because I agree with Chris, I love the SB insoles and the materials and construction are better.

I hit on the snkrs panda restock in feb of 2022. Panda hype was pretty high then and they could be seen everywhere. To make mine different I immediately ordered some Tiffany blue sb style oval laces off of ebay. Relaced them when they came in and i still get multiple compliments on them every single time i wear them.
Great review. I got mine on SNKRS too and the zoom made me pull out the insole and seen the zoom padding on the heel. Never knew about the foam injection, poron padding, the extra aquiles padding, lace hiding, the bottom sole difference for board grip, etc etc. Thanks for the wisdom. Love being able to see how the sneaker looks on foot too, def a must!!!

I love sbs from the tech, materials, storytelling, nostalgia They’re dope. I copped these but I don’t like the shape of the toe on them. They don’t fit like any of my others I have. Hoping they’ll give when they break in but super narrow in the toe box

Bought the Panda dunks as my first pair of dunks and I agree with everything that was said in the video: Simple black and white colorway is very easy to pair with a lot of what I wear (I bought it to replace an old Black/White Stan Smith that I beat to death), but the materials are @$$. Glad I paid retail for them, but the much cheaper Stan Smith sneakers I got from the outlet felt like it had better materials than the dunks. Truly scared me off from buying any other dunks in the future (too bad, as I really like some of the other colorways).
been an sb dunk wearer since '05 (stricly p-rod's line). just recently, i came off an injury which led me to finally investing in some insoles. for the first time ever, i pulled out my dunks' insoles to switch them out for the move all day casual insoles. 1) funny how the first thing i thought when i pulled the insole out was "what the hell? there's actually some tech in here?" i was surprised it wasn't just a flat piece of foam. then a week later, i see this video with the insole tech! 2) first time using something other than stock insoles, and the move ones are legit! as someone who's flat-footed (which i just found out from my physical therapist), the insoles give the support i need for arch and heel. outside of being on my feet all day at work, i don't feel pain when i'm walking around in them on the weekends! definitely wanna try the game day ones once i'm cleared to play ball again edit: realized that second part sounded like an ad. not sponsored, but shoutout to y'all for getting me on those! 😂
I love the history lesson and extra tech breakdown. It makes me want another pair of SB Dunks even though I love the NB numeric 480s I bought as an alternative. Also, nothing wrong with a panda dunk but I’d want them in an SB myself.

I could write a novel to reply to Jodie's question today, as I get heated just like Chris when people try to shame each other for their shoes not being "in style". As an official sneakerhead with 100+ pairs in my collection, wear what makes you happy! I have loads of random stuff in my collection from hand made Crown Northampton sneakers to $15 Airwalks I bought from Wal-Mart that I enjoy wearing just as much as any Jordan or other hyped sneaker. If you're worried about style, just remember that it's all cyclical, and likely people that care will be looking back at Panda wearers some day as if those shoes are a timeless classic (look at NB runners now). What really makes you look stylish is wearing whatever you have on with confidence :)
I’ve always been into sneakers. My wife wanted the pandas & I got her a pair. She has since bought a few other sneakers & is getting more into it. For that reason, I’m a fan of pandas

I really like the clean colorway of black and white dunks, but never bought one because the materials used are so cheap, would rather spend extra on premium versions of SB Dunks, or create one in Nike By You.
Best insole ever are Lunarlon insoles... as far as comfort goes. Zoom is probably better for performance though. Glad I was able to hit on a pair of these too!
I think Panda Dunks are great, but I wish there was a SB version. Even having that SB Dunk insole made a huge difference when I was wearing regular Nike Dunks. I haven't worn Dunks in almost 10 years now. Last pair I bought was the CCS black Friday's, they were all black with a white swoosh and gum rubber outsole. I loved them to death, even busted the zoom air bags. Haha
Ace review as always. Love these SBs in hand, the quality and color are fantastic (Go U Northwestern). I zig a little on the Pandas where others zag, I rock the vintage premium dunk hi in black/white and I love those shoes.
The Pandas are versatile and go with just about anything. Sure, you see everyone wearing them, which maybe has caused people to cringe at the sight of them. But that’s just proof of the black/white versatility of the Panda dunk.
I recently decided after not wanting pandas bc I didn't need them to buy a pair. I bought it bc the store i work at actually got dunks and my coworkers and I were talking about how nice they look. For 25% off I said screw it and bought a pair. They are so clean and obviously i swapped the insole out for a move insolve to make the sneaker more comfy. People hating on pandas either hate trendy stuff/ dislike when limited hype releases are trendy or bc like chris said they bought they bought them at 300+ and now they are sitting. I also think they dislike them bc they can't flip them anymore.
I don’t own Pandas, but I would wear them if I had them. Almost all of my dunks are SB Dunks. The only non SBs I have are the NBA 75 and medium curry. If there was a Nike SB Panda, I would 100% cop faster. I’ve seen the Pandas in stock more often. That’s great for more people to join in the fun.
If you want regular dunk with premium quality just customise them from nike dunk by you. Leather quality from Nike by you is so soft better than from already made

There is nothing wrong with the Panda Dunk. I’d have a pair myself if I wasn’t able to get my hands in the Jordan 1 High ‘85 in the black and white colorway. Wear them proudly!
Panda's are alright lol, the hate definitely is overblown imo I wouldn't ever snag a pair since they're a little bit too plain for me but more power to ya if you like em and can get a deal on em
I got my pair of pandas for retail three years ago. The black leather was surprisingly soft, white leather is cardboard garbage leather. Not for “tubbys” like me at all, which is why I do not buy the “sports” dunks, even if it’s a color way I want. I’ll only wear SB dunks.
My favorite sbs are the white lance mountain 1s from 2014. Somehow the worst era for both nike sb & jordans quality wise brought forth a shoe that rivals some of the best. Oh & the takashi 2 dunks, those are waaaay too expensive nowadays tho. Nike needs to just release en mass all white & black dunk sbs like they do with air forces, id buy em just for the insoles myself
Got my wife a pair of GS Pandas. They look great from afar but if you look at it in hand, the quality is insanely subpar. Even the mould of the sole is screwed up. Still, they look nice and I might grab one myself if there's a below retail pair. Took an L on these Purple SBs.

Black/white dunks are a really good looking shoe. It’s just everywhere but it doesn’t take away from them being a good looking shoe. 0 comfort though.

I didn't know about the poron in the forefoot (cue the 🌈). I was lucky to get these a few years ago and it's become my everyday shoe. So comfortable.
