I am a 5+ (as long as i can go depending on different factors) day washer & have been for a while. Ive actually attended cosmetology school but didnt finish (completed all classroom & 1000 of 1500 hours) & currently im trying to get the $$ to go back, complete, & get my license....anyways, ive always shampooed twice & ever since i spaced out the frequency between washes i didnt know why the first shampoo didnt lather as much as the second shampoo! I actually have a much more complex washing routine than this since i go so far between washes. i use hair masks/deep conditioners & olaplex. But still this was very informative & i was happy to find out other washers who go as long as me between washes wash their hair the same way (thanks to the video & reading comments!) 💗💙🦄💗

yesss this is exactly what i do too!!! I as well am a 5 day hair washer too!! its soo col to hear another fellow cosmo doing the same makes me feel better in telling people this more because i usually say this and they all look at me like I'm crazy lol

Hey Alexis I love your videos, I'm also a hairstylist and I learn so much from you. I have the Goldwell keratin treatment on my hair, can I use Monat products with my keratin treatment? I would love to purchase these products.
I'm a 5-7 day washer. Sometimes longer. But I have fashion colours hair and it's near chin length and shaved on a side. So my hair is held up by a unique construction of dry shampoo IGK's sea salt spray and hairspray.
The only thing different is I will wash twice no matter what. Even my two day wash clients I suggest twice. I find that it gets the hair cleaner and you can stretch it an extra day. Making them a 3 day washer.

I have a question: I've seen a lot of comments saying Monat is a scam and you shouldn't buy it but I just bought some Monat products from a party I went to and came home looked at reviews and saw some pretty bad results. I am scared and confused now!! My goal is to grow my hair out and I don't want this to hurt my hair I need answers fast!! Should I try this or choose something else?? Thank you :)
It’s not a scam at all, for the 5 people that are complaining, we have hundreds of thousands that are having amazing results. The truth is in our science and clinical trials!

It’s not technically a scam because you get a product, but the product is bad and the marketing is predatory. You should search into mlms because the truth isn’t pretty.

What shampoo are you using? Some shampoos, like the creamier ones won’t get super sudsy.
Wash it a third time. Just means there’s a bit more oil built up

+Ashley Vance no! You wash you hair this way with anything. The only difference is that you don't let the shampoo sit for 2-3 minutes before rinsing.

How to properly wash your hair
Step 1: Use a product that won't make your head as bald as a fucking egg
There's no way I'd wash my almost waist length hair in the shower! For one thing, I have health problems and I want to get out of there ASAP. And I don't want water getting in my eyes and on my face either. Often I don't have time to shower and wash my hair on the same day. So I wash my hair in our large kitchen sink. It's easier on my back as I can lean on the edge of the counter, and if I get water on my face there's a towel beside me. And I can see the water up close, and can tell when it's completely rinsed out. I don't understand how people can wash their hair in the shower, unless it's very short and they don’t mind water in their face.

I can’t believe a stylist would dare to use monat. Not only are mlms predatory, but this product is garbage. there was a class action lawsuit because of the hair loss and sores it caused. I hope your clients find out that you’re recommending something that could ruin their life. You should have your license revoked.
MLMs are simply a different approach to selling. And Monat has won every lawsuit, when actually do real research and not only look up the products but the lawsuits it’s self-explanatory. Listening to a few crazy people can get you all kinds of different opinions. And this product has changed hundreds of my clients life you’re correct, and it’s made their hair the best they’ve ever had. That’s fact.

Target, Nordstrom, Starbucks, and several other big companies have had and settled class action lawsuits. Starbucks has had at least 3 that I know of.
Are there some people who give MLM’s a bad name by using false promises to sell products? Absolutely.
Are there genuine people earning an income just from sharing what they love without sending out cold emails or lying to people? Absolutely.
Going after someone’s profession because you don’t agree with what they use or sell is ridiculous. As a licensed stylist I’ve seen people have allergic reaction or negative reactions to chemical services as well as product lines. If Monat doesn’t work for you or for other people who suffered an allergic reaction, that just means it isn’t for you. If it’s working for others and people are happy with it, that’s okay for them. Relax and do a little more research before coming at someone and their profession in such a rude manner.

And where exactly did you receive your cosmetology license? Because milady, the industry standard in cosmetology education, lists Benzyl Alcohol (the second ingredient in MANY Monat products) as a skin irritant. Yet many negative testimonials state that when they brought scalp sores to the attention of their MP that sold them the products, the buyer was told to “push through” and keep going, because they would get better results at the end.
