The guitarist is Morgan's husband and producer. I think he set up the camera and they shot it. They liked it and posted online. End of story.
Just like Haley has incredible range, Morgan has incredible power. Two of the best voices performing together, no ego, no competition, just power!
There is most definitely ego and competition.
There is also musicality, maturity, cooperation and mutual respect. A lack of competition would not render such a beautiful rendition.

If you think there's no ego you don't know singers. They are also talented, and musically gifted so they don't make the song worse by going outside the best version of the song.
These are two of my all time favorite singers and I just found this video 7 years after it was posted. My GOD that was good.
The video is six years old, and every so often I still come back to it to enjoy this amazing cover and wishing I could give it another like.
I do the same and today is one of those times. Thankful this cover exists for us all to listen to.

I’ve heard several of Morgan’s duets and what makes this one stand out for me isn’t the very live room or the moment when their powerful voices overpowered the mic...instead what made it enjoyable for me was that neither one of them tried to stand out with runs or ad libs. They just harmonized together and made it wonderful. Slammin’ guitar and lovely flesh too!
Both of them have always amazed me with their humility in the face of the near limitless talent they both posess.

If you have ever played music you know the look on their faces. They are feeling it and loving evey second of this. Moments like this dont happen all the time!! You witnessed a magical moment for them right there!!

They both knew they found a really good room for acoustics. I really miss being around good singers without a mic. This is about as close as you get to that feeling and sound.
As a musician that has played in a band, I can truthfully say you're correct. All of us were from talented to very talented, yet perfection was so very hard, and so very few times. For the non-musicians, there's a enormous difference between 'nailing it' or getting it right, and playing it perfect. These ladies sang it perfect. No stepping on each other, very very well balanced, no missed notes, no ego intruding, just beautiful, classical harmonies. If you didn't like it, well, you're allowed to not like it, but damn, son. Go get your ears cleaned out.
It takes hours and hours of practice for mere minutes of music, folks. Even if everyone has the timing right, and the notes are all correct, that does not mean you played/sang it perfect. I must say though, the more talented and practiced you are, the easier it is.
Now, turn on your metronome, and PRACTICE! If you do, you'll get there, eventually.

Heather Abney only 3 times? Haha.This is absolutely mesmerizing. I know the girls are stunning but there are no shortage of pretty girls on YT. But the harmonies are also superb. Try listening with eyes shut.
Hands down, this is the best Beatles cover performed by three people sitting on a white couch. Of course Haley, Morgan and the man maybe the only group in this category but nonetheless it is mesmerizing.and gorgeous. For any cover by anyone.
If the couch was from another colour that would be completelly different :-)

This rendition has magnificently nothing to do with the original tune. No matter how good they look, how "heavenly" (?!?) their voices sound (to your ears), this cover is absolutely unnecessary, self-indulgent, self-promoting attempt destroying the original atmosphere, beauty and simplicity of Fab 4 song.

I'd raise a couple of points in rebuttal if I may... 1) your "(to your ears)" statement highlights how subjective music is in general and therefore how everyone's opinion, including mine, is no more 'true' than anyone else's... and 2) surely (in my subjective opinion) the very best of covers are those that don't stick too closely to the original... otherwise what is the point of doing the cover?

My first and strongest impression I get when I watch your videos is how happy you are. It's amazing and captivating but most of all it is genuine and it shows.

Three minor points concerning this captivating performance by two of the most impossibly talented beauties imaginable: (1) yes, Haley’s hair flip at 2:45 was essential, (2) OMG, the way they look at each other at the end, and (3) this guy plays the guitar beautifully.

Beautiful women indeed, but somehow I found myself focusing on the music. Terrific guitar accompaniment and superb voices. I’ve always been impressed with Morgan James but the ease and empathy with which Hayley Reinhardt delivers those gentle harmonies is extraordinary.

One of those very rare occasions when 1+1+1=soooo much more than 3. And props to Morgan's husband slaying that acoustic. Not enough is said about that. I don't think this masterpiece would have near the same vibe without it. Without each one, just would lack that...something...that separates great from timeless.

This is one of my favorite songs from the Beatles, and I just can't get enough of it. I liked it and probably commented years ago when I hear Morgans version.
Here I am years later still marveled by the sound of this song. Haley and Morgan are two of a kind, and I just love them.
Does anyone else get that really weird sigh of relief when they finish the song? It's like all the tension from the day is just relieved all at once.

Haley is the Michael Jordan of singing. So effortless and yet so controlled. She vocally outshines everyone around her.
Many singers can belt out a tune, but very very few can draw you in like Haley, the only one I can compare her to is the great Ms. Eva Cassidy.
