Overanalyzing Muzan's Introduction

- Hello comrades! At some point, I thought that Muzan was a competent villain and there was a reason for that - his first meeting with Tanjiro. Yeah, he did completely fumble the bad later on, but at that point, he was awesome. He took control of the situation, he read young Kamado like an open book and escaped without issue. However, I want to go a step further and look into this scene frame by frame. Hope you find this overanalyzes of Muzan's first encounter with Tanjiro interesting and/or entertaining.
Thanks for watching, YOU ARE AWESOME!

Who also thought Muzan was awesome at first?
Bruh. I bought the female form cosplay! Ugh!
I thought so. Until I read the manga after the first season....💀
@@wAtsop Heard. Same.
Me
@@LizzyCollectsGender fluid Muzan is my new head canon, I didn't really mind his femme forms but now I just Muzan to rock daddy and mommy forms.
The mentally ill Muzan theory just makes the story so much better lol
You got to go a bit insane after a 1000 years
The saddest part about Muzan is that his introduction was so good but poor planning and outlining basically rendered it all mute. He was supposed to be an Aizen style manipulator but just ended up being dumb
You said it, I can't even add anything.
@@mahistvyou actually can, like "yeah, he didn't even tried after"
An interesting thing about this is that mentioning his sickly complexion is also a reference to his origins as a man dying of an illness.
Good point, that might have triggered some memories too
@@mahistvnot might, but is
At least muzan is a better demon king than the one from seven deadly sins
That one... I didn't get him at all
@mahistv I know, right that Demon King literally has no villain development whatsoever seriously heck even his own son would make a way better Demon King than he is
Considering bro was almost non-existent the entire series...
You are right about the whole Tanjiro signing their death sentence. Why else would Femzan be the form we next saw him in?
Yep, our boy didn't think that one through
Love your content as usual! His introduction was great, I love villians who can see the bigger picture.
Thank you, I appreciate it
Additionally: notice his eyes, specifically, the way they turn into slits when he's looking at Tanjiro, vs when he's trying to appear normal. His pupils slit when Tanjiro touches him, and then again when he cuts that guy, and then once more when he sees Tanjiro's earrings because he remembers who those belong too.
Yep, I wonder why no-one noticed it, his wife was looking at him a few times during the encounter.
@@mahistvyou should make a video about his 5 wives and his wife here I feel bad for her becase that is just a show and he abuses her with daughtre
After a thousand video explaining how stpd muzan and the last one hinting that he have schizophrenia this one just show how much of an overlord he is and I love it
Haha, got to give him some credit too)
Honestly Muzan literally being Michael Jackson was so offputting i laughed out loud with tears in my eyes the first time i watched the episode, but even back then something was tingling the back of my mind. I went and rewatched the episode a couple of times and damn, that was a strong Main Villan introduction. Not as powerful as, say, Madara's or Meruem's, but the context was also very different since we were getting introduced to the big bad in episode 7.
There's the looming question of "why the fUck did he send those two weakass Demons to deal with Tanjiro instead of doing literally anything else" but that's a plot problem, not a problem of the scene
Agreed, this might not be the best villain intro, but it was a memorable one for sure.
Love your consistent demon slayer videos, It's like christmas came early
Thank you, but we are starting the Jujutsu Kaisen arc of Mahis TV
cant complain about that either@@mahistv
@@mahistv NOW christmas has truly come early
Indeed, business is business
100% in this case
This and the aches of him eliminating the Lower Moons really made Muzan seem like a terrifying threat so far above the heroes that it seemed impossible to match him.
Then the rest of the series happened and Muzan apparently dropped at least 40 IQ points.
They did him so dirty
Always a good day when Mahis has a video!
Thank you!
You reminded me of the post asking why are vampires always rich in fantasy or modern settings
Best answer
If you live that long an are still broke
Just walk into the sun already
Fair point
Muzan: “he’s just honoring him, he’s not His ancestor I could smell it”
Lower demons: “so we’re strong enough to beat him?”
Muzan: “for you’re sake yes”
Lower demons: “and if he just so happens to be capable of killing us”
Muzan “then I’ll tell Akaza I want him on the hunt if you’re not alive to go meet with him”
Lower demons “what will you do in this time?”
Muzan (has yorichi flashback) “I will not assist you I’ve got bisuneysss”
I feel like something like that could have allowed Muzan to look like someone who actually is capable of utilizing one of his brains will still making the remaining events the same. Then when Akaza comes out of knower he’d be like “yo it took me forever to find you I didn’t know Rengoku was gonna be here Maby he was like, hiding in demon slayer h.q. or something, if so I can’t track it for some reason”
Akaza and by default Muzan after learning about wysteria would realize the reason Tanjiro was so hard to track, his suit is coded in that stuff that hides his sent. Throughout the Hantagu and Gyoko ark Muzan would spend his time studying Wysteria and eventually developing a way to track it leading to him not only be able to track Tanjiro but ds hq to.
At least that’s my take on it, it’s not gonna do anything other then make muzan look smarter but I still think him being smarter would add a lot to the series.
1:39 SO ENRAGED HE DID THAT
Yeah. wasting beautiful food like that...
YES. how many demon lords does it take to kill the demon slayers
One good one

WITH THIS TREASURE I SUMMON!
Yeah people, come to our discord!
This was from your previous video but I know it's your comment on how Michael Jackson self killed half of a dozen of the strongest fighters Well it was actually the right choice There are 2 reasons why 1 It would stop Demon slayers from being recognized as Without any ranked demons being killed It will be harder for you to become a Pillar 2 They were doing their jobs Constantly getting killed being replaced They were overall useless, Yes hundreds of unwranked demons who are on the level of the lower ranks So they weren't that useful. Anyway what do you think about this
I agree with him killing the lower Moons. They simply became a liability when slayers were able to clap Rui no problem
@@mahistv
My solution:
Muzan: "You're too weak. From now on two of you will always stick together no matter what happens.
That way you have a higher chance to defeat the Demon Slayers.
If you disobey my order and don't work together I will kill every last one of you, understand?!"
5:50 Marhais we need more sauce
One Off, you're welcome
@@mahistv I am selling RUclips Comments Sauce for 450 yen, wanna buy?
I will never unsee the MJ similarity after hearing you say that 😂.
That was the intention)
if Muzan pulled an Aizen 24/7, then he would have won, tortured the main cast, and humanity has 0 chances on beating him
Without a shadow of a doubt
Good thing he didnt tho, we need another Yoriichi to stop him and if he is super manipulative, that said Yoriichi 2.0 would take his side and the whole world is fucked for the 2nd damn time
So much potential wasted.
Agreed... so sad
Muzan’s introduction was pretty sick ! Very good writing ! Demon slayers has lots of plot holes that makes no sense but there are moments that d definitely written very well , the introduction, the training , and how Muzan was introduced . Definitely very smooth !
this is awesome. The 1st scene I mean. Too bad muzan started behaving like an idiot after that
Agreed, I was so hyped to see a decent villain
While I personally like Muzan this way, (I see him as a Jack Horner but aesthetically pleasing), your video analysis was excellent.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
W muzan
For once, yes
Muzan felt imposing when we first saw em
Then you go to the Manga and realize he's a Joke. Honestly I was more interested in Kokushibo, Doma, and Akaza.
Agreed, I was very sad that my initial impression was so wrong
He might be more meaning in the anime.Soory, Mr.Mahistf if I have made a wrong assumption since I have not read the manga.
I had a question type first impressions of muzan. Up to this point it was said that the demon king can make demons, but just had a normal human family.at first I thought he may have a control or memory ability to have a daughter with no suspects. It did seem he is strong, but for him to be targeted by assassin made me questioned his position. (The assassin I am referring to is the demon that has three clones and can make shadow puddles.)
I don't think he was targeted by demons, cause they all know who he is
I do not mean that demons were targeting him. People with money wanted to get rid of muzan (human). The first demon that the mc face as demon slayer had a flash back of him being chocked out by muzan in traditional ninja/assassin clothes
5:49 sauce?
One Off
