Fantastic, what a performance. No throttle on the engine, not knowing when the engine will run out of fuel.... and then the speed! Very few pilots can fly this.
Parabéns ao piloto e ao construtor . Um controlando o rádio e a sua visão para não perder o contato e outro que garante perfeita harmonia entre os comandos.
Saw guys flying pulse jets at a local college when I was in my early teens, '64 or there abouts, only they were inside a cage approx. 50ft diameter and they would rest their wrist on a pedestal in the center and the plane/ rocket was tethered to a handle they held. Those things were going around so fast they'd get dizzy controlling it. I'd never seen anything like it nor have I since. The only reason I was able to experience it was because I heard it eight blocks away. LoL
Great to watch but far too dangerous for a public air show. What level of redundancy is there on the elevator and ailerons? None? Not to mention the pilot, who is flying to the limit of his vision. How is that insured against death or serious injury? I can't believe it is. And the consequences for ordinary flyers in the UK if it goes wrong?
@June Bug We do, the British Model Flying Association (BMFA), but I'm pretty sure it doesn't cover this sort of thing - commercial displays. (If it does, I don't want to pay my premium plus theirs.) However, the bigger problem is that the individual would rather avoid death or injury than be compensated for it. And of course crusading politicians would jump on the back of a serious accident for their benefit and our detriment.

It’s a valved pulse jet meaning there is one moving part being the valve. Let’s fresh air in but won’t let the hot exhaust escape. The valves tend to wear out fast because generally it’s just a really thin sheet of steel
5000 of these devices that will quickly deplete fuel supply after a few minutes, and in their masses will trigger globalists concerning greenhouse gases. Fantastic.
(1) keep it within visual range [easy when you have young eyes] and (2) knowing what the aircraft will do in response to stick inputs after some slower initial flights. Not that difficult for an experienced RC jet pilot.
We should be glad the German's did not ask the Horton Brothers to design the V-1 drone. It would have been near supersonic and impossible to catch or shoot down.
Jeez that thing is faaaaaaasssst!!!I bet it would do some real damage if it hit a person, a dog, the side of a house, a toliet, a car, etc. when you have the hammer down!!! :-O
well.. you're totally wrong.. they burn out their flappers and are not really that reliable. Also you may have noticed a little drawback with the sound. Fuel economy is also awful.
@@HandFromCoffin burning out a set of flappers is nothing to replacing the hot section of a jet engine. Noise can be suppressed and fuel economy improved with R&D..

Oh yeah, brilliant. Did he's 3 year grandson is a cinematographer.
Speed:
Frequency flying towards the camera: 404 Hz
Frequency flying away from the camera: 245 Hz
Mean Frequency: (404 Hz + 245 Hz) / 2 = 324.5 Hz
Frequency deviation: 324.5 Hz - 245 Hz = 79.5 Hz
Fraction of Mach1 : 79.5 Hz/324.5 Hz = 0,245 Mach
Speed: 340 m/s x 0,245 = 83 m/s = 299 km/h = 186 mph
appreciate much
God damn son good on you for figuring that out!
@bobagopaaa borderline
Wow i feel stupid asf
Probably even faster than that since it wasn't flying directly at or away from the camera, so we didn't receive the full effects of the doppler effect
Fantastic, what a performance. No throttle on the engine, not knowing when the engine will run out of fuel.... and then the speed! Very few pilots can fly this.
They All can
Excellent flying. Brilliant camera tracking
I love pulse jets. They combine the greater capability of jets with rhythmic reverberations like that of a proppeller.
Sounds like an angry wasp nest to me, definitely gets your attention though
Whole lot cheaper also
And only two throttle settings: Off and Screaming Insanity.
In the slow motion replays it sounds like a V-1 "Doodlebug". Brilliant flying, brilliant video, and a highly skilled pilot.
Those energy climbs after the low pass are fooking awesome!! Superb
Ah, nothing like the sound of Pulse Jets over England to start my day with.
Only at Weston Park Show...and only when Hans Litjens and his team cone over from mainland Europe. Not this year I suspect.
Imagine the terror if Germany had control of theirs.
Führer's flash backs
Brilliant, the Pulse jets never fail to impress 👍
its so fast the doppler effect kicks in!
That thing is cranking. I bet FPV flight would be very fun
I don't think a human could survive those G forces. Those turns were outrageous.
As nicely flown, as it was filmed! 👌👌
That climb rate is insane!
Thank you !
You're welcome!
Wow that was amazing. I was surprised at the flight time holy cow. I was expecting that the right out of fuel you know 30 seconds tops wow.
Wow, that is an extremely serious flight line!
I love the sounds, awakening ww2 memories, I'm not even born yet
I fly RC also. Now THAT was exciting.
Awesome, that sounds so cool...

As the Brits would say, "Brilliant".. Great flying Mr. Pilot. Beautiful aircraft as well.
Too fast for my likings but I do love to watch the plane. Another great job Dom!!!!

Nice plane, perfectly flown but a nightmare for the cam-guy ! 😂😂
Tell me about it
I like your launch rail...
Cool aircraft well filmed. Thumbs up! :)
When engine stops is there a pause then a loud explosion ?
Nice machine !
can anyone share info on the details of this engine/fuel ? I want to build one, does it use pedal valves or is it an argus type?
Espectacular 👌 👌 👏👏
Ha that is Hans from Holland;)
Please tell me that so where you have footage of an RC V1 doodle bug , if not some footage would be awesome(if there is one ?)
Much Thanks , Ziggy
anyone know what the 40% 'special fluid' is ?
That guy can fly.
I am guessing no throttle. How much flight time for how much fuel?

what is the thrust of your pulse jet and the total weight of the plane ?

Piloted by the man who never blinks.
Did he go through that hoop?
Eh, no. He's good...but he's not THAT good.
No wonder they got called buzz-Bombs.
That doesn't hang around, does it?
Good lord that thing could get away from you with all that speed!
What type of stabilizer or gyro is used in this model ?
No gyro. Why would it need one?!
How much trust we can have in this scale ??
can you make a video about how you made that engine and its reliability?
I just filmed it buddy. I have no information about pulse jets and how they are made.
Every battery rc plane is a gansta, until pulse jet rc plane shows up.
was it flying without any moving parts, apart from the direction control components?

No. Custom made by the owner

I use the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder. Hope that helps. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Thanks Dom. Appreciate the feedback. We love your videos.
Always great to hear that! Thanks very much. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Superb
Thanks 🤗
It's cool and very fast, but it doesn't look like 300 MPH to me.
Why such nice video has only 20k views?
How do they not lose sight of the thing? Split second and it's gone to a tree 50 miles away

Where do they sell pulse jet engine
They don't. The pilot makes them himself and only for himself. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
Yes they do

Just like a V1 from Peenemunde...
I like the pretty noise it makes.
Well that is one fast mosquito
The same sound of piaggio p180
Am I the only one who finds it ironic that this was flown in England?
Yes you are!
It's pure kamikaze material
I need to see the onboard camera view!
Stealth.. This isn’t!
Where can I buy a engine from?
Google for someone who makes them or ask a pulse jet forum
Essential RC thanks for the response didn’t expect any
Sounds like a 300 mph fart. Amazing plane though! Nice flying.
Великолепный аппарат. V-1 в миниатюре.
The surgeon general warns: noise may be hazardous to your health.
Can’t see it 😂
Farts work on the same principal.
You should build one specifically to crash into a wall at full throttle that would be sick in slow mo.
sounds like the new ford gt
We should be glad the German's did not ask the Horton Brothers to design the V-1 drone. It would have been near supersonic and impossible to catch or shoot down.
is that who made this plane? do you know if they are sold?
