  • HI Everyone!
Today I to build at my shop the Keith Richards Micawber Telecaster is built on a low budget Part8. Today I will solder the jack. However, the place where the jack was drilled was in the wrong position and I have to glue it in and re-drill and paint it! I also made mistakes here, but I would also like to present my mistakes to you, maybe you can learn from them!. Unfortunately, due to a mistake again, I have to produce M3x30 screws for the pickup fixings instead of M2.5x25 screws. I'll string the guitar up and get a full setup, which I'll continue in the next part! If you have any question please ask my or I make something wrong, please tell me! Thank your very much for the "Like" or "dislikes " please subscribe.

    Victor,
I love the touch of"The Masters Hand"! A guitarbuilt by you is a treasure. Great detail put into shielding etc. No string tree for the high E and B strings? If no...why? Because of the old style tuners? I would love to hear this guitar when totally set up. Thanks!
    Ray, Boston Massachusetts! 😉👍🏻

Thank you for the kind words! We will discuss every little detail with the customer, in the next part I will install the strings holding butterflies. Of course, vintage tuner keys need to be installed, and in this case I will install 2 pieces! Hopefully you will also see it at a big concert where the instrument will be played in front of thousands of people!

Micawber has a brass bridge and a 1950 Fender Champion lap steel pickup in the bridge, and Sperzel tuners.

Yes, you are absolutely right! But the goal here, and the request, was that the original guitar, which costs about 10,000 euros, should be made for 1,500 euros so that all Rolling Stone songs can be played with it on stage! The neck pickup is the original Gibson 500 with a 12.2 ohm output and a 0.42 millimeter diameter coil of wire that was made by Japan Gotoh at that time, and I managed to buy it at a bid on e-bay. That's why I strive for the original sound!
