I often find it hard to use anyone other than Julianos on mage characters because its buffs are just so powerful. Reducing spell cost for worshipers, and increasing spell effectiveness for devotee's is just really hard to pass up.
Absolutely fair. I think Julianos was meant to be the de-facto mage "deity." It's nice to have other choices for a flavor-change, though, especially for dark mage/warlock types in terms of connecting roleplay with gameplay. Hermy always gives you something new to chase with the Eldritch Tomes, and those skill points at devotee can't really be understated in terms of progression.

Well, you do still earn favor by reading Eldritch Pages, even if you have already read the Eldritch Tome of the same type. So it is sustainable, but you can't just thoughtlessly spend favor on skill points. It does take long enough to reach devotee that you should acquire the Ebony Raven and Tempus Dominus by that time, which helps a ton with that Daedra "favor leak."
@@carn114 I forgot about those items; I think I've found the Tempus Dominus a couple of times before. Also, did you have any strategic ideas with the shrine blessing? @zephyr794 In my current playthrough, I tend to recast Warlock summons often, each time I bind a bigger spirit with Witchbolt. Honestly, I'm having trouble thinking of scenarios where the 15% effective time is worth the icy swim. Shouts are a good call. Dragon Aspect, Call of Valor, and the whirlwind cloak. Even more useful when using these shouts before a transformation. As for regular casts though, maybe just ritual spells that are a pain to recast. Otherwise, I don't see recasting being an issue.
Hard to say... It's possible that something is conflicting with Wintersun, not allowing the pages into the leveled list, or something else. But it's tough to really tell, because they are super rare, and only spawn on certain enemy types. I'd typically get one per dungeon clear, but not always.
