all of that garbage is usually a homeless person who gathers garbage into one spot happens all over. they dig through trash and bring stuff to their camp area. why? I don't know but I see it all over my area. so they might be the ones hucking the stuff into the river.
Be careful searching around in this area, I am surprised you didn't come across any homeless people, that area is where the homeless guy started the fire a few years ago that caused I85 to collapse and made traffic headaches even worse for months in Atlanta.

I'm from the Rez. No one has ever explored our lakes. Only our streams? Or rivers? And by just walking in them we find ALOT of things. Just to wonder what you could find in our lakes! Probably a whole car! Maybe a whole city! Who knows...
id venture to say, most of the plastic trash UP under the bridge in the dry came about as the result of a flood. some of the other stuff, too. has there been a bad flood where houses were involved?
I started magnet fishing last year :) So much fun even if haven't find anything special :D Only some coins, metal scraps and fishing hooks. It's has been a long winter but maybe If it's warm enough this weekend I will go down to the lake ^^

In Atlanta, the homeless make camp under the bridges. You will see sleeping bags up on the upper lip under the bridges. Much of the trash you have shown in the areas is from these homeless camps. Sad but true.

My theory is the phones/laptops etc are jealous partners launching them off the bridge after an argument. Just an idea, I may be totally wrong, it’s just everyone finds so many of them near bridges...................... 👍

Might want to get sharps shoes for walking under some of those bridges. You don't want to find any paraphernalia the hard way accidentally.
