I tried doing a certain teacher's noting method off and on for months and it turned me into a basketcase. I certainly didn't feel like I was mastering the core teachings of the Buddha. This type of meditating is so much more fun, interesting, and easy.
Bhante Vimalaramsi has such serene expression on his face and he also speaks with such serenity.
