    DIY How to remove old carpet stain from your carpet? This is a DIY carpet stain remover that works. In this video I give you step by step instructions on how to clean your carpet without destroying the carpet fibers. Watch the video and you will learn how I use dish soap, peroxide, and Clorox Urine stain remover to help brighten your carpet again and revive the carpet. I stated in the video that there are many different stains and that I would give tips below to some tough stains that are out there with good instructions. These are carpet cleaning secrets to help revive your carpet.
    #diyhome #cleaningmotivation #carpetstainremoval
    Dog POOP Stain: If poop is fresh, scoop poop with cardboard box piece, scrape the poop with piece of cardboard box to keep stain in one spot. Clean with cold water if poop is fresh, if it is old poop, heat water to 3 minutes, poor to soften poop, preferably vacuum poop with wet Vac, then use CLOROX urine cleaner to sanitize and pick up stain by dabbing stain with CLOTH.
    Makeup-Nail Polish Stain: Find high strength rubbing alcohol. Not all stores sell high strength alcohol. Wear latex gloves because this stuff is strong and can make your hands peel. Poor over makeup stain and rub the stain with Terry Cloth till gone. Use 70%-90 Strength.
    Urine Stain by Pet: Poor White Distilled Vinegar over stain to kill odor above carpet and beneath. While pouring its ok the vinegar soaks through the carpet because you want to kill the smell underneath too. Soak really good and leave on for a good 30 minutes, then clean carpet with DAWN dish soap like I did in the video. Then sanitize with Clorox Urine Cleaner. A wet vacuum also is good to suck up the moisture. Wet Vacuum is king.
    Very Hardened STAIN like Gum or anything very hard to the touch: Use WD-40, spray WD-40 to the stain and the oils in the WD-40 will loosen the stain and as you agitate with a spoon or Quarter the stain will loosen and you can vacuum the stain with a WET Vacuum and flush with water.
    Vomit Stain: Treat the stain like the Urine Stain but first, Poor baking soda on the vomit, then scrape the vomit on carboard pieces of scrap then throw away till gone. WET vacuum is perfect for this job. Follow directions like Urine Stain.
    Ink Stain: You can approach this stain with High Strength Alcohol or WD-40. If the stain does not remove you can always dye the carpet or cut the stain in a square and find a new square and tape the new square to make a fresh carpet. Look for carpet dyes online for your color. If the dye does not work, cutting the carpet out is so easy and the new piece blends in nice.
    Red Wine or Red Juice: Dab the area with Paper towels as much as possible to get as much wine as you can on the paper towels. There is red residue left, so spray the stain with URINE CLOROX stain remover, spray on the stain and keep on dabbing the stain with terry cloth, do not go in long strokes because you will spread the stain. The stain should come out, but if not, heat up water to 3 minutes, poor on stain to awaken the stain and soften it and once you poor, spray more urine Clorox and dab the stain. It should be gone. Also going back and forth with WET vacuum helps also.

    I have a white shag rug, that has just general matting and its definitely not white in some places from foot traffic. We dont wear shoes over it but it is still dirty. Do you think a really good carpet cleaner vacuum will be sufficient to brighten up the carpet again?

    • @vegasminimansion
      @vegasminimansion  Месяц назад

      Yes, take that shaggy rug outside, drench it down with water hose, soak it, then use carpet cleaning soap, by pouring it on rug, actually Dawn dish soap works wonders, then get a Rubber hair removal brush broom, then rake the rug slowly to agitate soap into rug, after lathering soap into rug, drench rinse the rug again with water, while soaked then use a WET VACUUM like the one I recommended in Description, you can also find them at Home Depot. Make sure it has WET FILTER. Making the rug wet and then immediately vacuum gets all the dirt out easier. Then suck all the moisture out of the carpet with the CREVICE TOOL or UTILITY TOOL that comes with vacuum. After you suck all the filth. Take your spray hose, and rinse one more time. Then vacuum again. You will have a perfect clean rug again. 😊 I will make a video on this and do my rug soon on my channel. Your not using the typical vacuum you see at Target, your shaggy strands would get stuck in rollers and also the vacuum power is not strong enough.

      Id love a video! I actually was able to use the hoover vac pretty good but im sure it only cleaned subpar, however when i move in a few months i may do this method then use the vaccum for the drying steps!!!

    I am curious on what you are talking about a wet vacuum??

    • @vegasminimansion
      @vegasminimansion  2 месяца назад

      A WET/DRY Vacuum is extremely versatile and has a strong suction to pick-up liquids and larger debris that regular vacuums can't do. I linked one in the description to show what one looks like. Thanks for watching.

    Can you use a carpet shampooer to suck up the liquid?

    • @vegasminimansion
      @vegasminimansion  7 дней назад

      You sure can. Just make sure that carpet shampooer has good suction. Many people don't do proper maintenance on the shampooer to make sure the suctioning power is working. Cleaning the filters inside shampooer gives more suction power.

    How u get bleach out carpet

    • @vegasminimansion
      @vegasminimansion  Месяц назад

      The trick is to use carpet dye. You have to dye the bleached area. You can find carpet dye for your carpet color online.

    As far as I know, Peroxide will discolor because it acts like a bleaching agent. Although, I could be wrong 🤔
    Also, white vinegar, salt, baking soda, dish soap and water works wonders. Mix all & pour into a spray bottle. I didn’t think it would work, but OMG all my stains came out instantly! I did this on my pillows just last week. 🥰
    Awesome tip though! Thx for sharing 👍

      Thanks for watching! About the peroxide, that is good mentioning. A low grade 3 % peroxide will be fine. Almost all homes use low-grade peroxide. The important part of this video is to add heated water to the stain and try the best to extract while not spreading the stain. Using a wet vacuum is always preferable because it sucks the stain and moisture from all angles of carpet. Stains can be taken out without vacuum, but it is best.

      3% peroxide is fine for all fibers. And even stronger is fine on synthetic fibers.

      must always rinse surfactants out or leftover soap residue will attract more dirt thats bigger than otigjnal stain,,,

    • @vegasminimansion
      @vegasminimansion  2 месяца назад

      A WET VACUUM is perfect for that. Splashing more water at the end of cleaning then suctioning the moisture. Thank you for adding that info. @terirodriguez1363

      Do you mix equal parts of each “ingredient” to make the spray solution? Thanks.
