I think Kvitova has a better game - better serve, better at net and even more power than Sharapova. But Maria just had the champions mindset and refused to lose (except of course against Serena where she just didn’t believe she could win).
Oh yeah, Kvitova’s the much greater talent. I like both players, but Kvitova has the best combination of power, hands and shot-making that I think I’ve ever seen in women’s tennis. But Maria wanted it here even more, especially after Wimbledon but you can tell they both respect each other a lot. Although I disagree about what you said regarding Serena, that wasn’t mental it was physical.. it was just a really bad match up for Sharapova game-wise because there wasn’t anything Maria did better than Serena.
Sharapova was lucky to get out of this match. 3rd set she was struggling to hold every serve but it was all mental and Petra failed. However it was clear in the nightmare final that it should’ve been Petra v Azarenka with a Petra win.
Petra could have won 2 Grand Slams in 2012 but She lost 2 grand slam semi finals in a row to Sharapova. First at Australia Open and then at Roland Garros.
I know how that shoulder Phil's dear how I used to take care of it was have somebody put their hand on your shoulder blade one hand on your shoulder and pull backwards a little bit it'll pop right back in place it only lasts until it pops back out but it does hurt I like that but after you get it popped back in it's good I know how it feels
