    You have so much more confidence driving the leafer. Start of your heat I kept saying move up, move up. When you did that just allowed you to drive in harder and let that car dig... For $3000 to win you need to dial in that front bumper just a little.

    • @DIRTRACELIFE
      @DIRTRACELIFE  Год назад

      Yeah, sometimes that front bumper needs a few dings if your really doing all you should do.

    I love it! Such a great channel to follow. I’m a fellow leafer too so I follow religiously😁. I love your leafer videos so much more than the metric. Mainly because the metric is what so many people are running. I hope you crush it on Saturday Night!!! Leafer For Life!!!!

    Commenting as i watch. We added weight to our LF... and we run 54.5% rear

    • @RichFife
      @RichFife Год назад

      Watching your hot laps, I'd pull the weight off of the rf, stick the rf out, suck the rr in and push out the LR... drive in deeper, turn the car and give her the beans... instead of sliding into the corner... and sawing the wheel.

    • @16wmaheu
      @16wmaheu Год назад

      You would run the LF inside the track of the LR?

    • @RichFife
      @RichFife Год назад +1

      @16wmaheu I have, but I try to keep the left side even...

    • @DIRTRACELIFE
      @DIRTRACELIFE  Год назад +1

      how much did you bolt on your LF?

    • @RichFife
      @RichFife Год назад

      @DIRTRACELIFE ironically enough, we have 30# on our metric full frame chassis...

    Love your technical videos, you are a great racecar builder.....
    Have you considered having someone else do the driving??
    Been a builder and driver for 40 years myself.

      Yes, I am teaching Rachel 😀

      That's cool, we all need a shot.
      It might be helpful to look at her driving videos, and point out that every time she lets go of the wheel to spin the wheel hand over hand, that she loses control of the car every time.
      Thanks for your videos. ✌️

    Im glad you figured out you can drive these cars without using the frigging brakes. If your car is geared correctly for the track you are racing, a Pure, Factory, Street, or whatever stock you want to call them this week , doesn't need a brake pedal until it is time to cross the scales. Good job in the heat. Best of luck i. The feature.

    • @DIRTRACELIFE
      @DIRTRACELIFE  Год назад

      I say yes and no on that one. To me it totally depends on the track and how well the car works in the moment. The Camaro definitely was spot on in that heat to just let'r eat 😉

  • @rickjones6798
    @rickjones6798 Год назад +1

    That was awesome buddy first couple laps I thought you were in trouble then I see Corey in your heat when that caution came out and you were up towards the front when the green came out you are off like a rocket 🚀 but that was a awesome heat race great job I'm so looking forward to the feature but good luck go get that w buddy

    • @DIRTRACELIFE

    Where is the fuel cell and weight mounted in this car compared to the orange crush?

    • @DIRTRACELIFE
      @DIRTRACELIFE  Год назад

      16 gallon tank behind the rear end. all the weight is over the rearend with no weight behind the fuel cell.

    that yellow car is factory stock?? Thats a joke...please. Im missouri/Iowa ...the southern pures, street stocks are far from ours. Ours look like actual cars, even Stock cars.

    • @DIRTRACELIFE
      @DIRTRACELIFE  Год назад

      all that rotation and lift is just coming from one thing. the tracks down here don't have a spring height rule so your just seeing a real tall left spring and a rr spring that was probably too soft for that hooked up track. it will flat out jerk one up like that.. .
