Kerry is the greatest Australian Sprint Car driver of all time. Who else from Australia has won the Kings Royal the I-55 and 3rd at the Knoxville Nationals, all in the space of 2.5 weeks back in 2014. Enough is not said about him.
Well done to all involved. Love the interviews and the new clay seems to be the business. The track curator looks like a good bloke. Tough Job I am sure
I feel sorry for curators, they cop crap from people that wouldnt know $hit from clay. Good interview. Solid track. Great racing and you said it right, people need to stop expecting a perfect track, its dirt ffs. Ive seen it all over the US, these curators have a thankless job, they dont control the weather, nor is the weatherman ever right. Interesting how the black stuff would seal over. Clay instead of the black stuff is a much finer particle, and as such has more surface area for water to attach too, more particles, more surface area, more moisture, better track. Ive seen many different soils and the bigger particle soils once compacted just dont open back up.
Mint video yet again Toby, 👌 always like to see the off track footage you provide (bit shorter than they used to be when following driver though). It would be good if you could ask track prep crew how much water they put on track this week versus last weekend, Eastern ck said they put 400,000 litres on track a few weeks ago in press release when it was dusty and taking rubber bad but in brandt speedweek video, track crew at tolmer speedway said they put 800,000 litres on the track with their custom water cart and spray set up 😎 (different length and width tracks and different soil type though). In their post after last sunday premier speedway said it was due to temperature being 41 ("very hot temperature" in their statement) on the day yet in this video Rik said they had a water truck not working last week. So from this, can it be assumed the issue with track was not enough water put into track? Rik didn't say anything about temperature in this interview and public statement didn't say anything about water truck out of action. Track did look better in CPV A main video compared to last week, . On track last week though, for those tyres to have been worn out so quick last sunday, they must've had a lot of wheel spinning yeah? Guessing the drivers who finished the race must've had either a better car setup or a gentler accelerator pedal approach. It was a 35 lap race and RR's starting popping en masse after 25-30 laps. Were any of these drivers that did tyres running the new ones with harder compound and smaller tread blocks? If they were running old tyres, Veal only did 27 laps so tyres new tyres would have to last 33% longer. If they were all running new tyres from hoosier well... Curious to get your thoughts Toby? Keep up the good work! 👍👌 I believe I have watched all of your videos or close to 😁
