YOWZAAAAAAAA *Boy Howdy that Centurion is a HEAVY MOTHER!!! Great pond too by the by. That Landing Craft even sounds like a diesel engine. AUSSIE'S ROCK!!!!!!*
The landing craft is hand built. Scale is 1/16th, twin drive and twin props. Sound system is an older Tamiya truck sound system. The hull is timber and the superstructure is plastic. Based on what we used in Vietnam. Thanks for your interest
@theyear30001 The Landing craft is scratch built using plastic card and wood, the sound for the landing craft is an old "Tamiya" truck sound unit. The Centurion tank is a scratch built body on a "Heng Long" 1/16 Pershing hull. The APC M113 was a toy but has been converted to a scale RC unit. The Land Rover is a Die Cast static model that I converted to a early model and it will be RCed in the future. Hope this helps if you need more information please ask, very happy to help.
Bloody good work mate, that is the first rc Centurion i have seen and they are my most favourite tank ever, Asa boy i had 3 squadrons of the matchbox toys and would dig up the garden for tank-scrapes.
On mine the front section from the ramp to the main cabin is full of foam under the deck for floatation. It has 2 props and 2 rudders. The 2 motors are geared down for power not speed. Make it as light as you can but keep it all watertight. I used a gearhead motor driving a threaded rod to operate the ramp. As the rod turns it moves a "nut" along the rod depending on the direction it is turning, there is a cable connected to the "nut" that goes to the ramp to make it go up or down.
I cant help but wonder how different the "Bocage" and the "Falaise gap would have been if we had gone with pushing thru a heavy tank like the comet or centurion instead of letting the yanks make us use "Tommybrewers".. The "Firefly" was great but not enough numbers to save a lot of very brave men.
@1poptart36 That my friend is a M113 APC. This one has been changed quite a bit but you can get a basic one from eBay if you are lucky, they are no longer made

Glad you like it, it is lots of fun to play with, and gives me a chance to run the tanks in the mud for a good reason.

It was expensive in time more than money. That is the good side to scratch building.

Thanks mate, it is based on the one at the Canberra War Memorial. Have a lot of photos of it when it was OS that I used as a guide when building it.
Thanks for the encouragement, at the moment the "Landy" is not powered but it will be an easy project to RC it.

Great Video. Very good Job.
MTC España Thank you, Glad you like it.
The LCU took about 4 weeks from start to finish. The Centurion and the 113 took a bit longer.
They haven't been made for years. I got mine from a collector in the UK then converted it to HL RC
holy shit giant ducks in the background
@theyear30001
Total length is 152cm or 60" and width 44cm or 17 1/2"
the vehicles are radio controled as is the LCU.
@grompix1 Thanks for the nice words
