I'm getting a serious vibe that if someone showed him how successful of a life and career you can get from studying a profession passionately and becoming competent enough at it to make companies need your skills, and then helped him with developing good habits for school, he'd be an extremely ambitious, happy, well-rounded all-A student within a few months.

Hey, Syrmor! Just wanted to give you short "thank you!" for the work you're doing. Your concept is incredibly unique and I Iove what you are doing with it :)
Hey, Syrmor I would honestly really like to share my story from 15-16yrs of age (I'm 21 now) but honestly it's pretty crazy and I'd hope to reach a good amount of people to hopefully prevent something like it or help ease pain for someone who has experienced it or is.... which I hope no one but me has gone through it, but you never know. Just wanna help as most people as possible, so no one get hurt the way that I did
I think a majority of scammers, or at least I'd hope that, don't actually ENJOY scamming people. Only that the money is SO LUCRATIVE and the risk is so relatively loe, that they kinda CAN'T take it. They got bills to pay and whatnot. It sucks, and they should be punished, but I totally understand it tbh.
From what I've seen and heard from people that run these scams, they feel that the marks deserve it somehow for not understanding its a scam. That, or in the case the scam being run is the kind where the mark thinks theyre commiting a minor crime themselves, see themselves as punishment for people who only PRETEND to be moral but will commit a crime if they think they can get away with it.
if you look at the scammers atomicshrimp deals with, you would change your mind some scammers told the victim to get in debt, so once they pay for x shipment they will get all the money, or to take money from the rent, once the money pass out they could buy their own house i dont feel pity for those scammers, when you play with ppls hopes and you just dont care... you are just shit
Considering how many influencers pulled scams despite the means to run legitimate businesses, I think most enjoy it. Sure, poverty can push someone into this line of work, but how many would stop if they know they won't be caught?
I don't know man I think a majority like it, it's surprising how evil they can be. Only a few people actual regret it. Just look at scammers from india, they be yelling and screaming if you don't do what they say. Evil people
You get a big dopamine rush from sales, it can totally be addicting. My first ever job was selling Kirby Vacuum Cleaners door to door and that was a total scam, but it felt really good getting sales... ...at least up until the time a devastated housewife told me I was taking the Christmas presents out from under the tree... ...I sold her a $3,000 vacuum and her house had *all hardwood floors,* the bit where we'd vacuum dead skin crud from your bed and show it to you was super effective.
Something that annoys me a bit is, I wouldn't mind buying a fake rolex or something like it if it was still decent quality, I would just want to know it was fake and pay accordingly. I bought a copy of a good soviet watch a while ago for like $30 and it is pretty cool. It's not like a good watch, but I don't need a watch that works well, no one does these days.
I think the title of this video could really use being edited to "I talked to a former scammer" because some of these comments are already getting really nasty and making some bad assumptions, I feel like they haven't watched the video at all. Dude has come far and it's what matters most to me (I obviously do not approve of scamming people but it's not my place to "forgive him or not" when it's the past, and he has already punished himself hard, he'll probably deal with more consequences as time goes on I don't wanna add to that. Some of y'all think so lowly of human lives and "criminals"...) To the interviewed : I hope you thrive off a better life to others and yourself dude, good luck when it comes to drinking too, that shit fucking sucks.
The trooper 100% knew and gave him a break. If the parents weren't already there (and I'm assuming he acted decently too) it probably would've ended differently.
I always kinda thought of scammers that way. Yeah, some of them are shitheads, but a lot of them don't necessarily want to. It pays the bills, and when you're in a tight spot like that, beggars can't always be choosers. I'd be lying if I said scamming people for expensive rolex watches sounded more appealing than flipping burgers at mcdonalds. You SHOULDN'T scam people, but money really talks sometimes.
Credit cards have more protection when it comes to getting your money back - probably because it's the bank's money that's been spent and not the individuals, so of course the bank will fight harder for it lol
@qwissy take it with a grain of salt, the first half of the sentence is something I vaguely remember from talking to my bank, and the second half is guesswork! For all I know the safest way might be something like PayPal, but I'm not sure at all.
