Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku Islands- up to 1609 since Ryukyu Kingdom was invaded by the Satsuma clan. Kanto is a region, much like Kansai. If I can remember, Samurai being “honorable” was up until the Mongol Invasions where the Mongols and vassals fought the Japanese and that conflict changed how the samurai fought and by the time of the Sengoku period, betrayals and assassinations are common. There are still samurai who have their own honor codes but most of them will be scheming in order to survive. They were trying to replicate what GoT did but what GoT did is Jin Sakai was an idealistic samurai but after experiencing a horrible defeat against the Mongols and realizing that fighting them with what he was taught wasn’t gonna work on an enemy who doesn’t respect it. Hence, that’s why he eventually learned to fight “dishonorable”. All daimyos eventually learned to incorporate matchlock rifles in their armies but like you said, it was the Oda and allies who developed their own strategies in using them. I’m not a historian by profession but I really like history so I do read history from time to time and I do check historical facts from historical fiction stories. The Oda Clan still exists and Ubi didn’t even bother asking about them and that’s nuts. There are some people who mistake Eiichiro Oda as related to Nobunaga due to their surnames but luckily, there are also people who explained that the kanji of the Oda for Eiichiro Oda is different from the kanji of the Oda for Nobunaga.
Its the sheithing of the weapons that most gets to me. Of all the things to get wrong, considering how ritualied the sheathing of katana's is, they had to try to mess that up. Its an animation that has been done a billion times since sheathing a sword on ones back, or anywhere else, was depicted in videogames and they still screwed it up so badly. Then somehow slapped it in a trailer. The two in the video didn't mention it but if you look at it whenever its on screen you can see the Samuri's blade clipping through its shieth almost every single time its on screen. The clipping of her through the guy she is assassinating is another of just the most incredible things I have ever seen in a game trailer. its almost amazing.
During Nobunaga’s time, the Great Buddha of Nara was burned down in a fire. It's funny seeing Naoe holding the blade part of the kunai and throwing it, lol. Are Naoe’s fingers okay? lol. 7:27
The more I see these new games the more I just keep screaming WHY DID YOU NOT KNOW!? I mean there are experts that could have corrected this and told you the correct thing to do. Why didn't you use them?
Knights, Samurai, *insert historical group of fighters* were almost never "honorable" in the way we think of the word. Honor back then was more to do with enacting what your lord wants. Unless their lords were some sort of saint, it almost never happens. "Ninjas" never had any sort of uniform. I saw Gaijin videos back then and that "school" is nothing more than a tourist trap for weebs. It, at most, will help you LARP. Ninjas and samurai were never mutually exclusive either so it's weird for Ubi to treat them like they are. There are ninja samurais like Hattori Hanzō, Fūma Kotarō, and others.
When ever I have heard of ninja and samurai I never heard of any of them crossing over. I'll have to look into it more. But yeah most tourist spots are not very historically accurate. Be like going to Medieval Times and expecting it to be an exact representation of Ye Olde England
@@KoibitoStreamClips Yeah, it's a strange thing how they're treated separately like that. But on a whole, it's best to think of a 'Samurai' as a warrior-nobility class while a ninja/shinobi as a job/occupation. Kinda like a knights and spies. Knights in history are also trained in espionage and act on them based on the situation like William Wallace. Not 1:1 since espionage is more integrated to knights' training than in a samurai's, but I hope that shed some light.
11:00 Someone on yt made that hidden blade design literally back in like 2010-13. It was fully functional with a pull release and pull sheath too. I couldn't find it ever again, but it's not a bad design.
Models not aligned with each other. Mixed trees and other plants of different seasons including food products, all sorts of weird building structures that are clearly not normal, floating and clipping models, messed up animations and physics, blood spouting out of the stomach of a guy being stabbed in the neck, stolen art assets and national art pieces that were illegally put into the game, jeebuz cripes this game is so fvcked. And you can tell they delayed the release to Feb just so they can lie to investors and use the excuse that the game came out at the same time period as Monster Hunter Wilds and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 so players didn't buy the game at the predicted sales margin.
All the better that they get a good drubbing for this, the more they understand we won't accept this garbage more likely they correct themselves or they go under

You blow me away. Thanks for the run down, I like it when I can learn more.
I need to study more damn you are way ahead of my on this, my lack of weeb skills is showing
37:28 the floor they were on went from wood to Bamboo sticks. Yikes 😬
I swear just more evidence that they used an AI to make stuff and didn't bother checking it later.

It just tells me they didn't care and didn't bother to do their job to quality check. They just didn't give a damn.
There was no glass in that era. Thus the bamboo

38:36 The guy who started the whole "Black Samurai" narrative.

As a cool weapon I agree its bad ass, but Assassin's Creed I just feel that the old spring lock stabber is the best for the style.
