The first clip is such a great example of the duality of Kim's character. Offering to help Wendy with legal help, no charge. Seemingly out of the goodness of her own heart, out of sympathy, whatever. And the whole while making the offer while plotting to destroy Howard's life for quite literally no reason. Kim is such a fascinating, nuanced, multi-faceted character.

Howard gave her plenty of reasons. - He busted her down to mail room because he couldn't punish Jimmy for quitting his lawyer gig - When she got Mesa Verde on board, he stole the lead and ran with it. Howard was shifty, slimy, and dishonest and he upset the wrong people. Now: that being said, what they did to Howard was a completely and utter over-reaction I'll admit, but it wasn't for "no reason".
