Brought me to tears. With all they had been through leading up to this, hank still had faith in Walt. He wasn't as angry with Walt for being a drug dealer. He knew they needed money. He was angry at him for choosing the one stupid path that would separate them in terms of morals.

It's pretty replayed and recognized, but I think it should be more recognized, just because it does a great job of being really effective. It's so explicitly freaky, and I'm so impressed by how well it gets the viewer to understand Hank's trauma. Weirdly enough, it's probably the most relatable scene in the show for me because of how well it gives the nauseating feeling you get when you see something so strange and scary. You can't stop thinking about it, and you want to forget about it. Lots of people have experienced things like that, and I'm glad to see something that portrays that concept so well.

He has an audiobook where he discussed that scene. It got to him because he pictured his own daughter.

The Jane scene is probably the hardest scene to witness as a viewer, actor, director etc etc.. There was so much to digest there as a human with or without experiences. It really puts into perspective the power and award winning outcome of this show, no matter how you choose to digest it. Breaking Bad was a truly iconic show that set up walls to be broken or at least chipped at. It delves into the real world of human suffrage yet entertains a reality where an outcome favors bold and brave by systematic error or fortitude.

People would tell me how great this show was and I would always say “ okay” and just go on with my life. Then I watched episode one and then two, three…. almost continuously in my spare time. It is absolutely impossible for a show to be better than Breaking Bad. The writing, acting, directing, cinematography, EVERYTHING is world class.
