      Actually after his loss to Ali he went into a dark place. Just came from a vid by The Modern Martial Artist. Search the night Foreman faced 5 men by The Modern Martial Artist and you'll see. But it is very respectable that he brought himself back and learned from his mistakes. The more mistakes you make, the more potentially wise you become. Potentially because some people just stay bitter but those who can forgive themselves and others come out wiser

      Liz G. You and many others miss the whole view of Muhammad Ali, he's not called the greatest because of what he did in the ring, he's the greatest because of what he done inside and outside of the ring. If you know his story, you know what I'm talking bout. He never bent, he never folded, stood tall against it all.... fighters these days don't have that type of heart or affiliation with the people as Ali did...

      @2008topshelf 3 года назад

      It was a brilliant answer but the question wasn't dumb. The "rope-a-dope" is probably in the webster dictionary and no one really is born with the ambition to be tied to that. He had to grow beyond that and understand his story and the lessons of his story in order to communicate his larger live lessons. Not everybody woulda been able to get past that, much less befriend the guy who humbled you. That was the genesis of the question, I think.

You will admire Ali the way George had described him but you will admire George more because he is so humble and generous to give where the credit is due. His character is adorable and greater than any material or fame achievements this earth could offer...
