I love how in the sims world it’s perfectly reasonable for individual citizens to have large wind turbines on their property
Carla turned into the Eco Inspector towards the end there 😂
I’m also not convinced the neighbourhood was actually truly industrial to begin with…There’s not much in the neighbourhood that causes it to stay Industrial so I think they just gave it an industrial eco footprint from the get go.
They did, in a new save eco lifestyle basically has the starter neighborhoods at industrial, neutral, and green to allegedly give the player something to play for. Most played in neighborhoods will shift neutral pretty easy. Full green rating can be challenging to get to, its REALLY hard to intentionally turn a neighborhood, let alone a whole map, industrial.

You can choose to store the electricity you produce and the water you collect instead of auto-selling them. It will reduce your bills and help with the Green Eco Print, i think.. :)
There is option to convince your neighbors to install eco appliances. But it hasn't been working really. They be like yeah sure we'll install it. Week later, nothing at all. Maybe because I don't live in Ever Green Harbor?
Omg, I tried this same challenge but the goal was to increase pollution. I even got the smog emthusiast career mod downloaded lmaooo(idk if that's the name it's something like that)
Where is everyone finding challenges? I never even thought of increasing pollution! 😂

I heard adding polution is pretty challenging. The pack wants you to want to clean up the town and so its tuned to promote, but being proper Simmers many of us embraced wanting to up the industrial. 😅 since most neighborhoods just drift neutral, getting industrial is pretty challenging. Honestly, I have barely played with this pack and mostly use the eco build/buy stuff for off-grid living in Sulani and Henford on Bagley.

The pack is so broken. You also need to get rid of all the industrial walls, flooring etc and add the Green rated walls, floors and roofing in the other houses and add green stuff for the neighbourhood to change and even then I think you need to actively play in them for it to progress. I’ve found it so much easier getting my lot Green than Industrial. Get rid of the concrete flooring also and plant the plants directly into the soil instead of planters also helps. Upgrade every plumbing item to have water recycler and appliances to have energy efficient device and that will help drop bills (whether it has any effect on the green rating I don’t know. Also there’s a lot trait Eco Lot that can help.

A good way to go eco friendly is going off the grid and using off the grid appliances, plumbing, and lighting, and on the plus side it saves you money on your bills

I love this sims hair, its so pretty.
The current house I’m playing in only has 13 planted plants and some shrubs and flowers around the front of the house and is about 95% to Green without all the Eco stuff added. Getting it over the threshold to Green though, that’s where the effort lies 😂

So I set the moon cycle to full permanently and it charges the crystals super fast. Also I list them fully charged on plopsy

You probably would have gotten green a bit faster if you had deleted all the tiles from the ground around the house and just used the grass. The tiles give an industrial impact.
Not me trying to make every active neighborhood green since I started playing with the eco pack 🤣💎👏🏻 must admit I do like the gardening skill more, even though I have season, which makes it annoying.🌺💚😎
I think Eco Lifestyle broke with some new pack and all the neighborhoods go green even if you do nothing but things that will pollute the environment. Gotta love Sims 4 🙄

I wanna buy this pack now-
Creating the eco upgrade parts and their usefulness is insane and unreasonable. To upgrade a television with the eco upgrade parts, you would need to create about ten. And, the fabrication machine makes one eco upgrade part each time. Also, the fabrication machine will attack your sim with every attempt to create one eco upgrade part. If you push your sim to keep trying, the fabrication machine will kill them. The sim will need to rest for a day between each attempt. Even when your sim gains a high fabrication skill, the danger of fabrication doesn't get safer. I don't know what Maxis was thinking, but they created a program that is utterly useless and frustrating. It is quite entertaining to watch the fabrication machine beat up your sim. And maybe the death is entertaining, but I never saw the death. But, I have done play throughs where Tina Tinker was a ghost, and she uses the fabrication machine a lot. So, death by fabrication machine is very easy to accomplish. I have tried to use the fabrication machine with one of my sims. They couldn't create a single thing without the fabrication machine attacking them. But it is absolutely hilarious but utterly frustrating and useless. My sim got to almost the level 8 skill in fabrication, and it never got better. Major LOL!
