Brakes don't work on the trailer cause they require air pressure input to release the brakes.
If there is no air pressure going into the lines, it locks the brakes.
yeah, that was a tricky one to overcome
@@fillman86 just remove the brakes from the trailer in parts selection, easy as that
Edit: Brake/air valve (I don't remember the exact name) works too
Edit 2: Though yeah, the wheel hubs become invisible because beamng magic
I was expecting that Filman would forget about the airbrake simulation. I was not surprised, lol
tbh I didn't know they even did that, or how they functioned
When I got my CDL I wasn't sure how they worked either. The main difference is the natural state of heavy vehicle brakes is locked. The air just releases the brakes. So, no air means no going.

One thing to help stability in the future... you didn't run into it here, but this is just for future reference.
The boxy rails you made around the car... you seem to have really strung a pile of beams in between the nodes. The more you attach, the higher the effective spring and damping on that singular node despite all the collective beams having a low spring or damp setting. This can cause massive instability naturally. Ironically, less beams per node allows you to use higher spring and damp settings then you normally would be able to otherwise.
In an attempt to mount a fithwheel to the bollide, fill made an antimatter bomb

lol I agreed with Carmighty the instant he said that despite the video's purpose. Its a cool idea though. I remember Highwayman, it's was like Knight Rider if KITT was the truck. Also reminds me of the "airport tug" vehicle in GTA5. I mean it's based on a real airport utility vehicle (used for the troop carrier in the movie Alien.)

Ive been trying to add a d series body to the T series frame forever, the furthest i have gotten is removing the cab of the T, and drivetrain of the D and using world editor to align them.
Finally got my own MP server set up tho!

with the right gearing nearly anything is possible lol I also like the look of the wheels, I just wish they weren't so floppy

Brakes, them are Air brakes, if they got no air supply, they are on, so its mimicking real life pretty well.
yeah, it was tedious troubleshooting with the air pump and tanks, so most of that part was cut out

@@fillman86 correct. Air brake systems are designed to release with air. If you take away the air then they will lock.

So there is a vehicle like that from the tv show. look up an airport push back tug. I can't for the life of me remember the model number of it but it is flat like the one in the show and it pushes back 777 things like that.

The trailer needs air supplied to it to release the brakes. Remove the brake chambers from the trailer.
I just put air tanks in the bolide. It was a lot of tedious work that wasn't good for viewing, so the editor cut almost all of it out

haha just some regular wheels and heavy duty tyres would have done probably, and you can even config the vehicle to be like that. The decision to go the extra mile was due to me having an idea of what it'd look like in my head, and me really wanting to see it

It's always about horse power. You gear for torque.

@@fillman86 i have no creative sense ad automation is way too much of a pain for me to use. i got some projects there but i eventually quit working on them because of how limited automation is and how complex it becomes when you try to "model" something yourself within the game. at that point im better off using blender but i don't want to.
