This will help me alot, do you have a video of removing the cover or even the reinstalling of the motor? What size is the channel iron that you used to get the retainer unscrewed? I have to do a motor swap and would like to know as much as possible before starting. thanks
So I started to take it apart and the square on the screw drive looks like it has a small screww and a wire going into it. I still have not found out what size channel iron to use on it but seeing the wire scares me about trying that. I am thinking about backing the motor/screw out as far as it will go and trying to slide the outer casing all the way up and over to expose that square at the bottom instead.
@@davidgalvin4046 yes that block does have one side with a screw and metal clip but its nothing u have to mess with. Its not a wire or anything. Its part of the block.
Also. The weather cover is held on by 4 10mm screws at the front. Then just unplug your connector a d the cover will come right off. Minus a ziptie sometimes
Could be or the gears i the reduction housing r gone. Either way new motor. I used to sell them but its just doing research and scouting. U have to b a dealer to buy these parts otherwise. AL100 Harmar. My best advice. Harmar AL100. Ebay. Amazon
Have you ever opened the gear box?
Can i buy just the electric motor
Where do you find replacement actuators?
Great question. I'm looking for a replacement motor myself.

d@@joehair4220 does the screw assembly have to be in a certain spot to re install
what causes the motor to run, but will not lift? Seems like the nut on top of the screw shaft is gone.
