Good video 👍, question i have a wire near my hitch receiver already i'm not sure what its for. Can i use those instead of the wire that comes with the lift?
I have a Bruno ASL-250 Scooter Lift. Is the 4 Way wiring for the license plate light on the lift itself? The lift does have another cord that looks more an ac plug, which I'm told is for the power of the lift to bring up & down only.
Moved my lift from my old Explorer to my new Explorer... stupid mufflers are so big I had to route the cable up and over the muffler heat shield... hope thats gonna be ok... any other way and I would have run out of wire... heres to hoping.
With out having the vehicle in front of us it would be difficult to find another route. But it is typically not safe to run electrical wires near hot surfaces. However, there are heat resistant wire looms you can purchase from Amazon or other retailers that can protect the wire to an extent.
The battery needs to be installed on the vehicle, safely grounded and connected to alternator in order to be charged. It would not be advised to install any other way.
Connecting the terminals to the battery should be the last step. That way you avoid a short entirely.
Agreed, just tape them down to something to hold them in place while routing the rest.
Take the in line fuse out
Very informative. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
