oh shit finally! I bought beam ng a month ago. But even with RTX3080 I was struggling to enjoy it. And the Thrustmaster T300 felt weird, especially drifting. Need to hop into my rig to try it!
@@RockyDylanBebb Hopped on a bit too happy :D The first setup takes time and patience holy shit.. And the random black screens mid VR really tests your patience. Yeah I 100% noticed that it's better, but not having a monitor in front of my setup really sucked while trying to dial in the FFB and VR settings
@@DeividasGedgaudas Do you have a monitor? There is a problem where your monitor goes black when your VR headset is on and I know how to fix that. It is a certain setting that causes that to happen.
@RockyDylanBebb i domt have a screen near my rig due to size constraints :D I tried tbe web ui on phone, but the small imfo panel hidds the save button 90% of the time
I really wanna try this out but I'm scared if my i513400 and 4060 will run it fine. I keep my headset res at 4000x2200 (2000x2200 per eye) and normally need to choose between graphics and frames
2080 ti wouldnt be the issue even in vr (unless youre trying to run at some crazy resolution in vr), beamng is very cpu hungry so as long as you have a good cpu you should be good. beamng vr runs fine for me with a 12600k and a 2070 super if that helps
@Archeoptery I don’t know anyone who has tried, I just know people with the 3080 do not get the results they want so I just assumed the earlier models would not. I don’t consider anything less than 60fps in VR something you would want to play with, it makes me nauseated.

My RTX3060 and i5-11400F run it just fine
@ Sick! I'll try it out. I just heard that the optimization was pretty bad so I wasn't sure
@@jestfulcompany9589 It SEEMS to have gotten a lot better since VR was first introduced, it did not work this good last year.
i have a wheel but do you think I can run VR on beam with a 2080ti?
@@LemonHunter I do not believe you would have a pleasant experience running VR with a 2080 in beam.

@Archeoptery Oh gotcha, that makes a lot of sense. Are you getting 60 fps? Thx!
what do you steer with
@@TikrasIgnas I’m using an old G27 steering wheel!
how so
@@cate01a less visual artifacts in VR that made your eyes feel weird and the steering wheel actually counter steers like you think it would.
